We pulled up on a rainy evening looking for a place to stay. We'd about the place in Karen Brown's book. Soragna was quiet, and we were tired from driving in the rain all the way from Vernazza. the manager was a soft spoken man that was very accommodating. He set us up in some very nice sized, clean and... More

Stayed there for 5 days as a base to travel around the region. It is convenient to Bologna and Parma, plus i s near many scenic towns although I wouldn't classify Soragna as one of them. The hotel itself was just okay. We had a suite that overlooked the main street, however a nearby crossroad was a major route and... More

We went at locanda del Lupo three times ,once for lunch, once dinner and once we stayed at the hotel. The hotel experience was not bad Although I did expect rooms To be better, they were Just tiny. The lunch experience was good As we went there to experience the regional cuisine which has incredible plates, we were In a... More

In 2011 we left Australia and went to San Miniato and La Spezia, Cinque Terre and then Soragna, and I got gout whilst in La Spezia. We stayed at Locanda del Lupo, and had the best week I can remember , despite the gout ! The meals in the restaurant were special. The service was exceptional, and the owners brought me... More

spent one night there for business in the end of July'12. Room I had was big and clean. Very nicely decorated. Bathroom was spacious and very clean. I took half board, dinner was very very high standard. Would recommend to go there even if you stay somewhere else. Breakfast wss rather basic, but it is very common in Italy. Overall,... More

This is a charming hotel in the centre of Soragna, which is also a nice town. Our room was lovely, quite quaint, with antiques in the room and a large bathroom. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The only detraction was the food. I dont know whether it was the chef's night off but the meal was decidedly average.... More

Locanda del Lupo is an old inn and you should not expect slick, shiny brand new things. With its age, antiques and staff anxious to please it is charming. The restaurant is superb and includes on its menu local Parmigiana Reggiano, prosciutto, culatello and their homemade pastas as part of its sophisticated menu. Parma is an easy trip; Soragna is... The hotel is located in old historic building, which Soragna is full off. It is easy to find and has a large free parking. People are friendly, which is very usual in small family run hotels. Room is comfortable, it is furnished by real antique stuff. Small windows make it a bit gloomy though. Bathroom while is very clean was... More

When we travel to small villages in Italy, we like them to feel like small villages in Italy. This small family run hotel hit the mark. Our room was spacious with lovely furnishings, overlooking a nice courtyard. Nice and quiet! We enjoyed our cooking lesson and the common rooms in the hotel. We had a chance to interact with each member... More

Italy needs to review its hotel ratings. This hotel may have been a 4 star many years ago, but not now. The lighting is dim, the furnishings drab and worn, little or no decoration in the rooms, rock hard beds with foam pillows to match, and very dated bathrooms. If you drop the soap in the tiny shower, you'll have... More
