looking at the negative feedbacks, i suppose the owner can be intimidating with her no holds barred comments but as you warm up to each other, she is really a very nice person. the B&B was tastefully decorated and living there is suppose to be like living in your own home and how you expect to treat some else's home.... Splendid house and a lovely room which was clean and comfortable. My room was not en-suite but others were, I had the use of a lovely shower room opposite. The double bed was very comfortable. The owner was friendly and welcoming. Really enjoyed my 2 nights there and would go back again. Val, Cumbria

We found this hotel very easily and parking was no problem . We were made very welcome and found the Superior Room that we had booked very comfortable. The Victorian bathroom was wonderful, the bath so long that one could lie full length. We were out late at a party and our hostess had even put the electric blanket on... More

As a family we wanted to spend a few days away and chose St Andrews in Scotland for our Easter week-end. We booked three rooms at Pitlessie House, because we had seen it on tv in 4-in-A-Bed. We could not have made a better choice. The house is as gorgeous as it looked on tv and the proprietor is friendly,... More

What a wonderful, warm response to our hospitality. We are so chuffed you enjoyed your Easter stay with us. The weather was wonderful, the sun is finally shining here in sunny East Neuk of Fife and the streets in St Andrews are buzzing. It seems all to have come together for you. All the best to you and your charming... More

Leaving it late to find a bed nearer to Cupar for a special event, I saw Pitlessie House in the Review photo and liked the look of it. I was tail-end Charlie and knew I would have to take things as I found them, especially as the charge was agreeably low. The fact that the bathroom was one floor up... More

What a charming and complimentary appraisal of your brief stay this Easter week-end. Many thanks for being so measured and fair. Yes, you booked late and rooms were booked out at that stage, but given the moderate rate you paid, we would think you had an excellent deal. We, too, enjoyed our all too brief conversation and look forward to... More

Strange experience as wasn't particularly amused at having to leave our shoes at her door although didn't have an issue wearing the mandatory slippers as can understand the new to keep the place clean. I can't question the cleanliness as it really was immaculate. I can understand why people find this odd. Our room was very comfortable and the bed... More

Thank you sooo much for your kind and measured comments regarding your brief stay this Easter week-end. We are very pleased to see you enjoyed our comfortable, large, spacious and immaculately clean rooms and found us 'friendly enough'. Might the fact that we are German and therefore a bit direct have given you food for thought? Not all people are... More

We stayed at Pitlessie House while on a short break last week. We saw the sign, and I phoned. We were booking in ten minutes later. This is such a nice house, so grand. I think we were the only people there that night, and got a personal service from the owner. She was great, and gave us plenty of... More
