I've stayed for 2 days in July. The rooms are clean but pricey. I was expecting off-peak prices for that time of the year as Makrinitsa is considered to be an autum/winter destination because it's closer to the ski resort than what it is to the beach. We stayed in the building which is behind/next to the outside bar and... More

My wife and I went in early November and paid a little extra for the upgraded room (80 Euro/night with taxes). I thought the upgrade included a fireplace, balcony, and fancy bathtub, but when I got there the room only had the fireplace. I sort of regret the upgrade because they only provided a few giant logs and a tiny... More

In the beautiful village of Makrinitsa, on the hilltop overlooking the bay of Volos, this is a winning spot in an amazing location. Room are individually decorated and have great atmosphere. The hotel is few steps claim from the village center. It is pity that such an upscale place offers an average breakfast and charges extra for a cappuchino during... More

This is a unique boutique hotel of high standard facilities and lovely hospitality. The amazing architecture and interior design are elements that made our stay unforgettable! Breathtaking view and attention to the smallest details! Congratulations to the owner for the hospitality. Additionally, the hotel provides free services to a swimming pool to a nearby hotel! It was, overall an unforgettable... More

We visited the hotel for a 3 day trip in Pelion. The location is perfect. Makrinitsa is the best village of Pelion Peninsula. Our room was very luxurious, impressively decorated and had a breathtaking panoramic view of Volos and Pagasitikos Gulf. The breakfast is excellent and has great variety. The manager and the stuff are very helpful and they offered... More

In a very nice place with a lot of stairs wich is uncomfortable. The room spacious and clean it could be better with view to the city of volos if you qet one who has that view. It is a litle bit difficult to find the receptionist you have to call to tell her you are there and if you... More

I stayed at the Archontika Karamarlis for Orthodox Easter this year. Although I wasn't impressed with the Junior Suite (in all fairness, I booked a couple of days before one of the two biggest Greek holidays of the year and it being a boutique hotel, not all rooms are equal and... you get the idea). However, I was more than... More

I spend 3 nights there between 12/27 to 12/30. The welcoming service is excellent. The staff welcomes you with a cup of tea or coffee. The location is magical and the place itself is good very close to the main street and attractions, stores, tavernas and coffee shops. However, I had to wait 30 mins for my room to be... More

An excellent butique hotel. People are very kind and freindly welcoming you with a hot tea. The room was excellent. Incredible view of Volos city and the sea. King size bed, nice decoration, a cozy fireplace, and a very very nice wc and shower. Breakfast was great and all hotel staff was very frindly and helpful. Located in the heart... More

We spent the weekend of 7-9 December in this hotel and the room was very very cold. They were putting the central heating on only four hours in the afternoon and the rooms were very cold. Even though we complained about the situation, nothing changed. Our friends who stayed with us in another room had exactly the same problem. It... More
