We had a wonderful 2 night stay here. Our room looked right over the bay which was delightful. The shared bathroom was large and clean, however we were the only guests which meant it was our own. John cooked us a lovely big breakfast each morning and gave us lots of tips for the Island. Wifi was great too. Our... More

The location was super pretty and the hosts (Anne and John) were very nice. It was a shared bathroom but I never had to wait. The rooms were quite big as well. Breakfast included different options as well (hot and cold).

Stayed a night with a great sea view, across the bay from Bowmore. Great location if you want to walk to distillery which is very close. Shared bathrooms though no issues with sharing. Very comfortable room with very good breakfast. Host is magnificent (John).

This B&B is a great home to stay. We spent a night there last August. John was very welcoming and has done everything to make us feel at ease. The room was so pretty, warm and clean, with an amazing view on the loch. When we arrived, it was pouring down. As we wanted to go visit the island, without... More

We stayed in the family room on the top floor at Anchorage B&B for 5 nights, initially booking only for 3 nights, but extending our stay as we were unable to get accommodation in Jura, but oh boy, it was a great decision. We looked forward to home cooked breakfast every morning, and to playing with the two highland terriers,... More

B&B in a lovely location overlooking Lochindaal - brilliant for scenery and wildlife - there was a corncrake in the field behind the house. Although the B&B doesn't have any covered accommodation for bikes they can be stored along the side of the house. The owner dried our wet jackets and clothes, lit the fire and offered us a dram... Lovely stay here over Easter. Easy to find and great location for exploring the rest of Islay. Bedroom at the front had a great and peaceful view over Lochindaal, and the whole B&B was beautifuly heated and toasty on a cold day. The visitor's lounge is very welcoming, and breakfast is just right - especially delicious sausages! Hosts are great,... More

Having stayed at The Anchorage the owners, John and Anne, are really friendly and accept dogs (well behaved!). Down to earth, friendly, clean, great breakfasts and the cost per night is reasonable. Parking is easy opposite with views across the Loch. Thank you both for making us welcome - we will be back.

John and Anne and their two Westies, Ivy and Phoebe, made us feel completely at home. The location of the Anchorage couldn't be better. Directly across the road from the shores of Loch Indaal, steps away from the Bruichladdich distillery and an easy drive to a number of great island restaurants mean you are never far from good food, good... We stayed at the Anchorage B&B for three nights while exploring Islay. The B&B is well located, close to excellent local restaurants and distilleries. The rooms are spacious, warm and very clean, with beautiful views over Lochindaal. The bathroom was also clean and spacious, although a little more oomph from the shower would have been good!! Every morning we enjoyed... More
