This is a fantastic hotel. The bedrooms are very well appointed and comfortable and the food is to die for. Paul and Joan were very welcoming and Paul's knowledge of Islay is very useful. The small bar is extremely well stocked with the local whiskies and again Paul's knowledge of these is very helpful in making the right decision. We... More

if visiting Islay, this is the place to stay! Not only is it a startegically clever location next to Bruichladdich Destillery, it is also a very quiet and beautyful place that is lovingly maintained by it´s owners. Breakfast and Dinner are delicious, rooms very well furnished and kept immaculately clean. Hosts are very friendly and make you feel heartily welcome. If... More

This small hotel, a short distance the Bruichladdich Distillery, was a perfect place for us. Breakfasts that made lunch unnecessary, comfortable double aspect bedroom affording views across Loch Indaal to Bowmore, relaxing guest lounge, kind and friendly owners in Paul and Joan. Through personal circumstances we didn't eat an evening meal at the hotel, but other guests highly recommended them,... More

Many thanks for your review. We can't always promise an otter but there is always varied wildlife on the shore in front of the hotel. Next time we will book you in for dinner. More

We stayed here for 3 nights in July and had the most wonderful time. Paul and Joan make you feel so welcome from the minute you arrive. Our room was sea facing on the top floor, it was lovely, spacious and had a great bathroom. Breakfast was excellent. lovely food and a great selection. The location is perfect for exploring... More

Comfy room and large bed. Nice large bathroom - everything clean. The food was delicious - Beautiful view. Owners very nice and welcoming. The hotel not as remote as I had imagined - We had a fantasy of wandering out to sit on the beach/wander along the shoreline - but the views are stunning and a short walk and a... More

Staying at the hotel added to our enjoyment of visiting Isley. Paul and Joan have are excellent hosts and have a proper understanding of what it takes to run a quality Hotel. The food especially is superb.I don't want to pin point any single thing as the whole stay was top notch and we were made to feel very welcome.

Beautiful setting. The room was pristine. Attention to detail. Friendly hosts. Everything freshly painted and new. Fluffy white towels, 3 ply toilet paper, nice bath, crisp linnen, beautiful view. Lovely location on islay with a small shop and 4 restaurants close by and a whisky distillery next door! We were a bit unsure as to what to expect for accomodation... More

An Taigh Osda is everything my husband and I look for on holiday but don't always find. But this hotel doesn't disappoint. Its run by the owners, Paul and Joan, who provide immaculate accomodation, beautiful views, top class service and amazing food (we like our food!). We are home rested & revived and with a new interest - Islay Malts.... More

There may be other excellent small hotels on Islay but the An Taigh Osda is hard to beat! The furnishings and decor are top quality and all spotlessly clean. Food first class. Breakfast had lovely choices and cooked to perfection. Dinner was 3 course and coffee for £40 and worth every penny. The views accross the bay to the Paps... More
