Firstly we received a very warm welcome from Kate and Alan, and we could feel their enthusiasm and pride in their business, which made you feel really good about staying at Redlands, and that nothing was too much trouble. Redlands could not have been better. Alan and Kate are lovely people and could not have made us anymore welcome. To find accommodation of such a high standard that welcomes dogs (and our dog is very large) is wonderful. Redlands is the perfect B&B for anyone wanting a relaxing break. A dog friendly guest house with two ideal walks within yards. Stayed here for one night on a trip around scotland - wish we had stayed for longer! The rooms were gorgeous, hot tub was amazing (dressing gowns and slippers provided!), breakfast was delicious, and all this at an extremely good price! We stayed here for 2 nights as we were attending a wedding at Fernie Castle. We were made to feel so welcome and our room was lovely and felt very luxurious. We didn't get time to enjoy the hot tub which was a shame. The cooked breakfasts were gorgeous, and the location fantastic with St Andrews a short car journey... more
Stayed for two nights again, with 2 dogs. The room was lovely, its always great to have a kettle and plenty of tea and coffee. The dogs enjoy running through the woods surrounding the lodge and we enjoy the quietness. Stayed here a couple of years ago and loved it so came back again this year for a romantic Valentine's weekend away. Another fantastic stay...got to try the hot tub this time :-) more
