Accommodation in Copenhagen is expensive and, compared to other hostels we have stayed in across Europe this one was very overpriced. The room was small and we had to share a bathroom. However the shared bathrooms were of good quality as were all of the facilities in the hostel. Fairly easy to get to from town and a quiet area.... More

Ok, let's start with the good things first. Hostel is very clean and spatious, staff at front desk is lovely and there are good common areas for hanging out. The kitchen is excelent! Rooms are comfortable, with good beds. Try the breakfast buffet, it's delicious. Neighbourhood is quiet and peaceful. Now the downside. Quiet and peaceful means far, expect to... More

First time traveling to Europe and my first night was in Copenhagen at this hostel. The night consisted of us being harassed by other visitors as they pounded on our door and actually scared us so much we did not get any sleep. Since there was no 24 hour reception, we could not call to the front desk to ask... More

If you would like to have a clean and peaceful stay with family atmosphere and plenty of privacy while meeting people from around the world. Excellent service. I had the best run of my life around this lake and in these woods. Walking distance to bakery's stores and even town if you are a bit ambitious. I have stayed in... More

I would recommend this hostel especially for families or for people who want to have a bit more quiet and nature. It has it's own special style with all the basics you need. Having travelled in several HiHostels-DanHostels this certainly was the most remote one from the city center. There is a direct bus connection though.

I stayed here with a group of 10. We had a great set up with two bedrooms and a bathroom. It was pricey, and anything additional cost extra but it was quite clean, the location was about a 10 minute walk from all the action in the center. We also found a small grocery store about 5/10 mins away were... More

Group of friends travelling Europe for a month. This was by far the worst hostel / hotel / accomodation experience we had the entire time. We stayed in 12 different accomodation with varying prices throughout the trip. This again was the most expensive due to all the additional cost that YOU must incur if you are not prepared. * Bed... Unfortunately, the hostel does not provide hospitality. Its entire strategy is to rip of customers with in transparent practices. Additional fees are everywhere: i.e. guest card for non-memberships of Danhostel (DKK. 35.00 per person, per night), bed-linen (DKK. 50.00 per set) and credit card payment (3.75%). Even alcoholic drinks are not permitted if not bought at the hostel. In total,... More

Stayed here for the UN climate conference. would not return to this place myself, but may be adequate for people who just want a bed. i've stayed at much better hostels around the world. the breakfast served in the morning is great, but that is the only truly positive thing about this place. it is cheap and out-of-the-way, but if... I came to Copenhagen for the United Nations COP15 talks on climate change. I was part of a youth/student delegation; we rented this hostel for our group and regretted it every step of the way. Where do I begin? Bellahoej hostel is out in the middle of nowhere; it takes well over an hour to get there from the airport.... More
