I spent 3 days there and I absolutely loved it for my purposes it was perfect I absolutely love the light that comes into that place as well it's so easy to get into Canmore or Banff just like that right on the highway. The people that are looking after the hotel very nice and very accommodating. Rooms were clean... More

We spent a week at the Gateway. Nice family ran inn with clean, comfortable rooms at great value. Evening camp fires with roasted hot dogs at the fire pit were relaxing and fun. This was a great place to stay. We made day trips into the mountains and surrounding area and returned evenings to rest and recharge. Brian and Courtney... More

Thank you for staying with us. We work very hard to keep our guests happy and love when we meet new guests and are able to share our local secrets and knowledge of the area. Our evening fires around the fire pit give everyone an opportunity to share the experiences of the day and get to know each other. We... More

The owners were great to work with. The area had just been under flooded conditions (not at the hotel) in town. So there was a boil water area wide. They brought me lots of water, and a fan due to the way higher than normal temps. The room was very clean and nice.

We're happy to see that although nature did not provide for much fun in our area at that time, you still had a good stay with us. We're always happy to show up with some bottles of water or a fan. We hope you can make it back now that most of our area is fixed and normal again. Thank... More

We enjoyed our stay at this motel. The room was clean and comfortable and the owners were very nice and accommodating. There are extras there such as a group fire pit and picnic tables. There are also cabins there. The views of the mountains were great and the prices were very reasonable.

We were on a holiday of a lifetime across Canada, had booked it all a year ago. We arrived at Gateway Inn around 19.00 hrs, as soon as we stopped the car knew this was a mistake. The photos on the web site are taken very cleverly and I think give a false illusion to the place. The busy/noisy dual carriageway... More

We have travelled extensively throughout North America and have stayed in many different types of accommodations. We found the Gateway Motel in Canmore to be very unique with all of the requirements for a good nights sleep to be very comfortable as well as very clean. Mattresses and bedding were near new as well as fresh linens for bedding. The... More

I stayed there along with 9 other friends for two nights. The location was perfect, very close to the highway with a spectacular view of mountains. Rooms were reasonably clean. The guy at the front desk (Ted) was very helpful. He even provided us with firewood and allowed to mae camp fire during the night. They do provide free wireless... More

I was compelled to write a review just to let other travellers know to keep away from this place. We pulled into the Gateway Inn on a late Friday evening after a long 10 hours on the road. It was pouring rain and the sign said open but the door was locked. My husband rang the bell twice before a... More

We stayed here because they had a cheap ski and stay package for couples at $75 a person. The hotel could use a little upgrading and there wasn't much to do cause the hotel was a few mins aways from everything, but it was clean and average and close to Mount Norquay where we went snowboarding. We would stay again... More
