This is another gem I had the pleasure to visit in many many occasions. Mostly for dinners as one of my favorite places near my hometown Pavia. The Castle is approximately 40 miles from Milan and approximately 68 miles from the Milan Malpensa Airport. It's perfect for people willing to explore some of the best "less touristic" routes in Italy.... More

Stayed here for 3 days for a meeting it was fantastic. It was like a journey back in time with a lot of museum pieces hanging around. from vintage chairs, paintings and furniture to the grand place itself. The rooms are clean, got a room fronting the courtyard. The staff are well trained to take care of your needs. A... More

We were on a 5 week trip around Europe in August-September and so had to be cognizant of a budget. We had been getting by on 80 euro a night places and hadn't been disappointed. But when we stopped in the piazza in Voghera to find a place in the area to spend the night, up popped this deal for... More

We were visiting friends who live in the area and they suggested this hotel because it was close to the activities they had planned for the weekend. It seems like this is a popular wedding location, but that did not inconvenience us at all beyond not being able to stay there on Friday night. We could only stay one night... More

Beautiful 14th century castle with formal grounds around it including very grand fountain. The food and wine are really excellent using local produce and the staff very friendly and accommodating. The dining room is well set out and was very busy for a relatively remote location

A litte difficult to find but well worth it. We arrived in June and the setting is amazing, an old castle tucked away in the Italian countryside, the rooms are a little dated but I think this adds to the charm. We were here for business meeting, we had one meeting room and an old library which we ate in... More

Beautiful park setting and main building. However, a large part of the building is recently built and many rooms are in this part. It might need some refurbishment, but a certain touch of out-of-fashion in the decoration is not unpleasant. Service is OK, but should improve in the timing of delivery/responses, attention for details, etc. Breakfast should be less standard... More

What a great place. We went & stayed because a good friend was getting married there. We stayed for three blissful days. Food is very good. Service is fantastic. Mario is your man. His jacket might not fit, but he's super human. Warm friendly staff, great pool. I'd like to go back again. Wedding was one of the best I've... More

We visited Il Castello di San Gaudenzio for a wedding and had a wonderful time. The setting was fabulous, the food (and there was lots of it) was fantastic and the staff were extremely helpful. Our room was decorated with marble, wood panelling, fabric wallpaper and even a fresco on the ceiling. The view out over the grounds and the... More

San Gaudenzio Castle is a 15th century fortified manor house in Lombardy that has been transformed into an impressive four star hotel. Situated in a small village this hotel is very good for business trips and travellers seeking peace and quiet. Service is good, rooms are nice and roomy and the atmosphere is incomparable.
