I went on April 2015 as part of our honeymoon trip and it was amazing. I surf and my wife doesn´t, so I had my doubts before arriving because she doesn´t surf. In the end it turned out to be an incredible place NOT ONLY for surfers. Non-surfers can scuba dive, paddle board, yoga (with amazing professor Rain ;), snorkle,... More

We (a couple; one surfer, one non-surfer) spent 2 weeks at the Aloita Resort and had a really great time. Booking process via E-Mail was smooth and Alex, the manager, answered all the questions we had very quickly and thoroughly. We booked ground transportation and fast ferry through Aloita, which was convenient because we were there for the first time.... More

Came here in May '15 with a large crew of surfers. Great location, great resort, friendly helpful staff, good access to a range of waves for all standards and highly recommended. The good: Terry the surf guide is a legend and whatever you're paying him, you should double it. One can never predict or guarantee waves, but Terry was able... More

I went to Aloita with my wife and two children and I want to thank the friendly staff and management for going above the call to make sure the children's meals were to their likings, also the food was great. Our surf guides were very good, positive, professionals. Flávio is a great guy and a good surfer and guide and... More

I traveled with my girlfriend to Aloita in early March 2015 for a surf, yoga & snorkeling vacation. The setting is beautiful and requires a significant amount of effort to reach, which makes it feel very special when you arrive. We were greeted with a fresh coconut for each of us and some freshly-cut dragonfruit, which was a pleasant way... More

Dear Sir, first of all thank you for your detailed list of complaints, I will not reply again to you as I did it already by email and so Terry, our surf guide. I remember you very well, you contacted us just few days before your arrival and asked for a discounted bungalow as you were travelling on a budget,... More

We stayed in Aloita for two weeks in December looking for a relaxing get-away. The resort has a very nice rustic feel to the bungalows were very comfortable. There were plenty to keep us busy including going to visit the nearby local island and their waterfall, paddle-boarding between islands, and going diving with Mario was a real treat. The staff... We went there in August 2014 for 5 days and were quite disappointed by the resort. It was not bad but considering the extremely high price (c. $350/night) for 2 persons, the resort is defintely not up to the standards. Room was ok and right by the beach, but the bathroom was dirty and smelly. Food was very disppointing compared... More

Hi Julien, thank you for your feedback, however there are some points that I would like to precise: - you paid 350 USD that is actually a discounted rate as the price of the bungalow should be 425 USD per day in full board (all meals included) for 2 persons (which one is a surfer so with 2 daily surf... The "Aloita Resort & Spa" is probably the most beautiful place with the most stunning surrounding and ocean you can imagine! Palmtrees everywhere, everything is lush green, and the ocean offers great opportunities for snorkling, diving and -of course- surfing! If you are a surfer, you'll love the Mentawai Islands and this resort as it provides a "boat shuttle" to... More
