Really enjoyed staying here, bar had a warm feel to it and accommodation was clean and comfortable. Food was great and very tasty and filling. Hosts and staff were friendly and was an enjoyable stop over for two days.

Forget your gastro whatsits. If you want a good honest pub with good honest accommodation and good honest food (lots of it) then this is the place to stay. Clive and Sue know how to look after you with their warm welcome, cozy bedrooms, roaring fire, buzzing bar and packed restaurant. Perfect for our East Anglian winter weekend. Probably pretty... More

We visited the area for a few days and stayed close to the pub. We were aware that it had been taken over recently after a bad period but were otherwise unaware of its quality. We had a large dog with us which couldn't be left in our cottage, so a dog-friendly pub was essential. On our first visit, after... More

Stayed for 2 nights so ate in the restaurant twice and also had breakfast. All the food was delicious. Staff attentive and friendly, atmosphere great and very good value. Would not hesitate to stay again and already plans to!

We stayed here for one night in August while attending a friends wedding in the nearby Godwick Great Barn. I booked it 5 months in advance, however when we got there they had no record of our booking. I asked for a reference number upon booking but was told I didn't need one so do make sure you get one!!!... More

We were in the area for a friend's wedding and stayed here. The room was ready when we arrived and was comfortable, quiet and clean. The bar staff friendly and efficient, the locals were engaging and approachable too. The full English breakfast was delicious! A splendid village pub. Thank you.

Stumbled on this pub whilst driving through. Had a very good roast dinner in the bar as the restaurant was fully booked. Great value Staff friendly if somewhat disorganised when we arrived. We were ready to place our food order as we ordered our drinks but were told to take a seat and they'd take our order at the table..... More

Came here on a recommendation. From arrival to departure, we were royally looked after, from being followed to our room with tea and delicious biscuits when we arrived late on Fri, to assistance with phone calls & wifi when the local signal failed us. Rooms were quiet, comfortable and CLEAN, whilst the bed was hugely comfy. Breakfast? Well, we're pretty... More
