Fantastic last minute arrangements following recommendation from a friend. Very accommodating when plans changed at last minute. Room was great, very comfy bed, beamed ceiling, large flat screen tv, complimentary toiletries and tea/coffee. Room was on ground floor and door direct to outside. Will be staying here when in area again - thank you

Can't believe what a great value this place was. The room was spacious, no, make that massive, very clean and tidy, comfy bed, lovely shower, quiet and peaceful. The free wifi is quite speedy. The host was friendly and helpful, providing a booklet on the sights of Knowle. There is a lovely Carvery almost next door with a great menu... More

Stayed here for the first time for 2 nights when visiting the gadget show at Birmingham NEC at the weekend. Friendly owner Mary gave us a choice of large doubles upstairs and was very welcoming with instant info on the village and places to eat. Knowel is an excellent location for the NEC as it took 10mims to drive there... More

Just returned from 5 nights at the Achill. I understand they are updating the guest house but our room was shabby and grubby. Mary is a lovely lady and the breakfast was great and very good value but our room needed a good clean. The only very small bin in our room was still full of previous occupants rubbish. It... More

Spent one night at Achill (still dont know how to pronounce it!) I ended up with a family room due to me booking late and availability, bigger than I needed but no complaints. The room was clean and in good order, warm, with comfy beds. The full English breakfast was superb and considering you can also have cereal and toast... More

This B&B is ideally situated if your visiting the NEC. the lady who runs it is lovely and can't do enough to help. The rooms are ok but maybe not worth the price of £50 per night inc breakfast. However the bed was massive with memory foam pillows and a huge tv. There were slight cosmetic issues such a crack... More
