If you want a good starting off point for coastal walks and bird watching territory this is your pub. We had lunch here twice and on both occasions the food, service and general atmosphere in the place was excellent. My friends said it was the best ham, egg and chips they had ever had. I stuck to the baguettes filled... More

This was our second stay at the Eels Foot Inn. Both times we have come here when our preferred accommodation in the area is not available. It's a pretty good back up plan. Its proximity to Minsmere RSPB is the main (in fact, for us, the only) draw. The staff are very friendly and keen to help. They are run... More

Went for a summer break to Suffolk. Thought we'd drop by this pub for lunch. The back garden was really lovely. Chicken walking about and very clean and tidy flower beds etc. I had fish and chips. The chips were mainly too crispy. So much that they couldn't be spiked with a fork but kept pinging off my plate. Quite... More

Thanks so much for the great service provided for the "Eels cup" Petanque day on the 10th August, amazing for you to provide the BBQ and outside bar whilst 80 of us played in the rather heavy downpours of Suffolk rain. really enjoyed the music as well especially the "Blues" band who were fab, Adnams Ghost ship on tap, great... Couldn't fault it - 10 out of 10 - the barman worked like a crazy man - and every order perfect in detail, also food was excellent, room was clean and lovely - best place we've stayed! Great area for us cycling - wildlife.

Outstanding position for nature enthusiasts. Providing a home for nature as much as the RSPB can! (I hate this crass new slogan) Perfect location for sampling the excellent range of Adnams ales. Oh, also the birds. Lovely team of staff. Nothing too much trouble. Vegetarian choices more than adequate, though more would help. Kettle and plenty of tea/ coffee in... More

We got a very friendly welcome to this quite isolated country pub which is very convenient for visiting RSPB Minsmere. Excellent value for a well-furnished annexe room with TV and free wi-fi. A good range of Adnam's beers and an extensive food menu made for a very pleasant evening. Good breakfast cooked to order. There's a footpath nearby leading all... More

We have been having meals here for years and never had a bad one. I had been told that it had gone down hill, but didn’t believe it and had to try it for myself. Unfortunately it has gone down hill big time. The service was a bit slow but I can live with that as long as the food... More

We came here as a party of six. Four adults, a 13 yr old and a 3 yr old. We ordered our food and considering the pub hadn't long been open for food one of the choices wasn't available....this was only told to us half an hour after ordering. The food arrived an hour and 10 mins after ordering, luckily... More

We love this pub, and often walk the 10mile round trip from Dunwich Beach car park , with the Eels foot being our half way point and lunch stop. The pub is very dog friendly , and I would say that for the past 18 months that we have eaten here every couple of months and have never had a... More
