We went here as a special treat for afternoon tea. The welcome was lukewarm, but the setting is stunning with views across the value. It is almost as enough the venue, name and setting will compensate for anything else. We were brought sandwiches, tea and coffee after a long wait to be served. The sandwiches were pleasant, but we have... More

We stayed here for two nights. Our room was very spacious and had a wonderful view over the valley. The walks around the hotel were interesting too, even in November. But the staff were quite cold except for a nice bell boy/porter. There were a couple of fires lit at night - one in the hall and one in a... More

Back at Endsleigh earlier this week for just one night and again my wife and I were super impressed. The location and grounds are beautiful we had our dog Miss Maisie May with us and the hotel is so dog friendly it is a joy to visit. Hotel Endsleigh is about 15 mins from Tavistock by car and surrounded by wonderful gardens (I strongly recommend a walk). The location is very quiet and the ideal place to relax. Our rooms (9, 11, 12) were very nice, spacious with comfortable beds, a big wardrobe and chest of drawers, TV and a lovely bathrooms. Wifi is available, but a... More

I returned to this hotel after holding my wedding reception here 27 years ago and the best parts from all those years ago remain unspoilt. The service was excellent as was the food. Although extensive refurbishment has taken, place the original warmth and charm remains. With stunning views over the River Tamar and glorious gardens to explore, including the wonderful... More

This hotel, owned and managed by the Polizzi family is a little gem. We had stayed at Gidleigh Park a few times and initially only swopped to this location as Gidleigh was closed for renovations.....BUT, when we chose to return to Devon again, Hotel Endsleigh (just) got the nod. Everything from the setting, the gardens, the accomodation, the service to... More

A quintessential English Hotel set in perfect gardens. A country house experience that is difficult to beat. Everything about the stay was fantastic - the staff are wonderful and the room fantastic. There are only 16 rooms - so you feel part of a big family Things to like - an honour bar, free use of wet weather gear and... More

This hotel is a must at least once in your life. Small, intimate, sensational food and service in a haven of silent Devon countryside. I cannot praise the staff highly enough for their willingness to unassumingly cater to every need and wish. The dining room has excellent menus and a carefully balanced wine list catering to a breadth of tastes.... More

I came here for a wedding, but did not stay overnight. The staff were superb, the atmosphere amazing and the overall ambiance difficult to beat. This hotel has to be seen to be believed. From cosy rooms for ones and twos, to the terrace; from exceptional landscaped gardens to fantastic food; it really is something very special.

Stayed here with my lovely boyfriend as a surprise 'treat'. The hotel is old and beautiful, yes the windows are a bit wobbly, the floorboards creak, the old handles are loose - welcome to beautiful old buildings! We stayed in room 5 which was heaven - huge room, fantastic bay window lover looking the Tamar, chaise long, plenty of space... More
