This is a perfect venue for a short stay or romantic weekend. Location is beautiful and quiet. Building is magnificent as breaths the history. Rooms are nicely restored with remaining all the details, but equiped with all modern needs on high standard. Breakfast/diners are served in amazing basement. Perfect base to take a bike, or visit city of Gent or... More

I have booked via groupon this hotel. First of all I had to wait 8 months for my weekend. Apparently was always full. Then when finally we arrived we have found it extremely disappointing. Small room, toilet dirty, carpet dirty, wall not painted completely... Then I had no access to the spa... Apparently always full.

Looking for a good hotel near Bruges my family and I came across the Godshuis. The very friendly staff welcomed us and was very talkative in a brilliant english. We were shown to a large two story room in the first floor. Clean, modern and very nice with a huge double bed. WIFI is free but unstable. Breakfast was excellent... More

We got a top floor suite in the end of the hall, a large bathroom with jaccusi and seelingvindows, a separate showerroom and double handwash! The room was large and the extra beds (for two kids) were easily placed. The breakfast included were rich and tasteful, and Cava were an option as well. We were sorry that the wifi did... More

Dear Tone, Many thanks for your nice review. As for the WIFI in that room we're on top of that. Your remark about the beautycenter will definitely be taken to the next meeting in order to make a stay completely heavenly not only from breakfast to room but also to the manicure and other beautyservices. Thank you for helping us... More

An impressive historical building with service oriented personnel. We stayed for two nights in a quiet room. Breakfast was extensive and was served in a large room with a lot of windows. The restaurant in the basement is a special place for lunch.

We had the luck of having an unexpected upgrade which we didn't mind of course. The hotel is situated in the inspiring walking-area called 'Meetjesland' with lovely water- and creekparts. Nice biking-area also presumably. Situated near the European/Belgian GR5-trail. The restaurant was very pleasurable and the food served was excellent, a reason certainly to have a second visit. The architecture... More

When I stayed in this hotel, there were some rooms occupied. But it was not very busy. Overall the hotel was not bad, but when I arrived I had a hard time to find the entrance. There was a curten blocking the entrance door, which was not inviting at all. Secondly the 3,5 euro for the bathrope, and there are... More

Dear Bart, We regret that we couldn't meet your expectations regarding wellness-accessories and price-setting of dinner. Nevertheless we want to thank you for your stay and your review. It would indeed maybe be handy to have the towels in the wellness itself...something we can try to organize. thank you, best regards, Het Godshuis More
