Sara and simon have a lovely cottage in this typical Devon village. There are two rooms for guests but you will feel more like friends of the family. Dogs are welcome and they have a new puppy! The rooms are pleasantly furnished and the beds very comfortable. Choose what you want for breakfast. Excellent scrabbled eggs and smoked salmon was... More

We stayed here at the end of day 5 walking the Two Moors Way, when my wife joined us overnight for a second time, albeit mainly attracted in her case by the nearby Michelin starred restaurant. Sara was an amazing host, helped of course by Simon and their newly arrived puppy Dyson. She could not have done more for us... More

Sara and Simon run one of the best cottages that we have been in. We did the Two Moors Way and we walked 17 miles that day. My first sighting of the cottage put a smile on my face. Beautiful cottage, not so little, surrounded in the beauty of gardens. Sara is a hoot! Their home is very warm and... More

this was night four of our 6 day journey along the two moors way! what a fantastic place to stay and meet up with three other friends. Great welcome from Sara and fantastic tea. Sara made us all feel so welcome and she went out of the way to send us on our way the next morning with a great... More

Well, what to say? A beautiful cottage in an exquisite location. Very well equipped and most importantly of all a friendly and welcoming host for whom nothing was too much trouble. Cannot speak highly enough of the place. Having the Mason's Arms up the road is just an added bonus.

We arrived having walked 16 miles of the Moors Way in very high temperatures. Sara welcomed us with tea and immediately made us feel at home. Having rested in the Parsley suite, the rooms for our stay, we walked up the the village to eat in the Michelin Star Mason Arms Pub for dinner. In the morning Sara and Simon... More

Sara could not have been more accommodating. Tea was provided in the delightful garden in full bloom on arrival, the timing of our dinner reservation up the road was checked and it says it all that this is one of the very few B and B's in the country where you do not even need a key to your room.... Probably the best B&B in all of England. There is much more to say but to summarize quickly it's like coming home to your best friends you didn't know you knew. Rooms were impeccable with large, soft beds and all the comforts you need. You get your own large bathroom and access to both front and back garden if you'd... More

What a delightful find! On entering Rosemary Cottage we felt immediately at home. We spent a celebration 3 nights here and could not have been made more welcome by the owners Sara & Simon. The bedroom was a good size and the bed most comfortable with tea & coffee making facilities, biscuits &, unusually, fresh milk. Breakfast offered a number... More

Within 5 minutes of arriving, there was a cream tea in the garden !! This followed a warm welcome from Sarah and Monty the dog and set the tone for a great night’s stay. The room was excellent and the whole house had a great family atmosphere. The local pub is closed on Sunday night so we had been promised... More
