Good food, reasonably priced, all a bit muddled but will return very good children's facility's with lovely canal walks just close by. Very dog friendly both inside and out ,in a nice peaceful Devon village just off M5 and North Devon link road .

We are regulars at The Globe and cannot recommend it enough for a good feed and a warm welcome. The staff are friendly, helpful and caring and the menu offers a good variety of solid 'pub grub'. The portions are plentiful and of a good quality. I wouldn't say that the meals are the best I've ever had but the... More

We stayed one night in June. We were comfortable and well looked after, we had a 4 poster room which was spacious. The pub backs onto the Grand Western Canal (actually not very grand), but very pleasant for an evening stroll. The food is fairly standard with generous portions, and we have eaten here a few times as well. Its... More

We were passing through during May bank holiday and called in for a drink, we were very impressed with how friendly the staff were and decided to stay for an evening meal. The food was 100% and we had a very enjoyable evening. We found out during our meal that we could stay there, so next time we visit Devon l... More

Love this pub! staff all really friendly and helpful and went beyond the call of duty for us - googled and ordered us a taxi, charged my phone as we were camping with no hook up so it had died and returned left behind glasses to us - all with lovely banter from every member of staff - really good... nice beer garden for sunny days, large car park, great food with with a modest price. staff were friendly and it has a family run vibe (not sure if it is). 5 friends stayed on a buisness trip and no complaints from anyone. would stay again in a hearbeat.

We walked to The Globe along the Grand Western Canal towpath - a beautiful stroll on a sunny April evening. The pub serves an excellent range of beers, but sadly no local cider..... We had reserved a table in advance in the restaurant area (advisable at busy times). The meal was excellent - generous portions of well cooked pub grub.... More

Lovely Sunday carvery - good choice of meats, veg etc. Nice location, child friendly - we were seated in the canal room, which was a bit dated and in need of a bit of a decor/tlc. Would advise to ask to be sat in the main restaurant as this was much nicer. Good portion sizes, good value, attentive and friendly... More

Very good location, canal side with resident swans, with convenient car parking. Food good , service first class, local beer available. Actually quite close to J27 on M5 so it is a useful break point for journeys to further southern destinations. Outdoor dining under cover, rather pleasant in appropriate weather.

Lovely pub, friendly staff, very reasonable prices, excellent food, what more can I say? Well worth a visit and so close to an exit on the M5, an ideal place to take a break from the M5 motorway. We shall definitely return
