Just come back from a week in South Hams and wanted a Sunday Lunch venue for a cold Sunday. Four of us enjoyed the food and beer thoroughly. How nice to have interesting well cooked local vegetables alongside beatifully cooked meat. One small complaint - the Queen of puddings is a bit sweet and not as good as my mother... More

Called in here for lunch a couple of days ago, after walking our dog on the beach at Burgh Island. Original plan was to eat at the Sardine pub on the Island, but it seemed so unwelcoming with all the "private" notices that we decided to go elsewhere. Best decision ever - the Journey's End is in a tiny chocolate-box... More

We enjoyed a fabulous meal at the Journey's End over the weekend; and only wish we lived closer so we good frequent this gem more often! Connor used to the the chef at Burgh Island and I am delighted he has made the jump to the mainland! We enjoyed a generous starter of poached duck egg salad, followed by perfectly... More

Having never visited this pub before, yet having lived in the South Hams my whole life I was blown away! The food is absolutely amazing! Beautifully put together with such care, you would think you were in a top London restaurant with the cosy ness of a old south Devon pub. Be prepared to open your mind and try something... More

Chef Connor never disappoints, having been there many times, the menu is simple and of the highest quality with lots of local, in season foods. Had pub classic Gammon ham, egg and chips (hand cut chips in beef fat!), just like home. Tracy, the landlady, is very accommodating and asked Connor to specially make choccy brownie pudding with a sweet/... More

Wow, I have travelled the world but never thought that i would come to this village in Devon to have the most wonderful mussels in Thai Broth. The food served at the Journey’s End was exquisite, the locals very friendly and the landlady and landlord made us feel most welcome. Recommended and will most certainly go back again real soon.

Our family were on a trip to Devon and dropped into Journeys End Inn for a meal. Other members of our party had the duck, salmon and fish & chips and everyone was impressed by their meals. The... More
