This was my first camping experience and I loved it. If you are looking for some real camping experience then look elsewhere. It is more of a hotel kind of experience where food is provided, there are toilets and bathrooms, tents are put up by the staff (though you have the option to do it yourself) unlike real camping where... While I visited with a group of friends, I would most probably suggest it to couples and families. I still appreciate our weekend stay over here. The place is cool, secluded and serene. Staff is helpful. Clean basic shared washrooms. Good quality tents, ample amount of wood to burn. I can summarize it as: Pros: - Good location - No... More

The idea is very nice, but the execution is terrible. The place is lovely but strewn around are mounds of garbage, at least that's what welcome you as soon as you enter the periphery. Overall a very mediocre experience.

If you're looking for adventure, this is the place to be. Set in a place where there is absolutely no phone network, this place offers a great site for camping, team building & water sports. The hosts are very welcoming and will cater to almost all your requests on food, drinks and stay. One can choose to stay either at... More

To call this a camping experience is 'misleading' to say the least. We were a group of 7 and we reached at around 3 pm (as mentioned in the website). The hosts warmly received us and asked to come to their house, and use one of their rooms(one room for 7 people!) and an attached bathrooms (both not clean at... More

Stayed at BRT Camp last year. Was a wonderful experience. The camping grounds are next to a lake offering some nice views and trails to walk around. Food is simple yet delicious and staff are very helpful. Dont forget to carry some marshmallows to roast at the campfire.

Stayed at the BRT Khopoli camp site last year in January 2013. Pitched our own tent. It was a really nice weekend getaway. We drew up to this hillock where the campsite was located. It overlooks a portion of the lake where one can go swimming and a trail to go hiking on. We explored an off-beat trail along the... More

This was our second camping trip in the last 2 months, the previous one being in monsoons and with a different service provider / competitor to Big Red Tent. This puts us in a good position to review BRT vis-à-vis the other big player around Mumbai. Location: +ve: - Very close to Mumbai (78 kms) - Directions were easy to... More

Year end 2012, my friends told me about this place and we decided to spend 3 days before New Years over there. Getting there was fairly simple because everyone in the area seemed to know Wayne! When I met Wayne, I realized why. Amazing Person. Made us feel at home. Even when we were exploring the place he came to... More
