An old hotel, though it's clean. However I really don't like their rest rooms because it's old and not really nice. Towels are old already. Though I like it's accessibility ( pool side) They have a buffet breakfast full or flies everywhere. Most of the guests are from different government agencies. If plan to stay for an overnight only, and... More

We have been staying at Dottie's Hotel when in Butuan basically because there was no better choice before. The hotel is quite old and unfortunately it is not well kept. Old facilities can still look good with proper management but this is not the case for Dottie's. Beddings and towels are also old, color is a discolored white already. When... More

Stayed here just recently during typhoon "Seiang" , firstly the front desk staff were extremely rude, I'd booked two Suite rooms and was told they wasn't available! So they had given us standard executive rooms, I pointed out that I'd paid extra for suites, I was just told over and over again they wasn't available! After some discussion they agreed... More

the only good thing about this place is the parking lot.. this is the only reason why i stay here whenever im in the city.. i was hoping that as they mature... service will improve... that is why i have been patient with them for the past five years.. sadly nothing good has changed... - the bed gave me a... If you want a decent, comfortable, stress-free, reasonably priced place to stay in Butuan City, then stay away from Dottie’s Place. What was once mentioned with affection by veteran trekkers in that part of the world, Dottie’s Place has slid into the seediness of things and is now showing its crabby, old age. The service is patronizing and downright snooty.... More

I came to Butuan for a 5-day fieldwork filled with endless road-travel and tiring days. Thanks to the clean and relaxing Dottie's Place, I was able to taste a bit of fun for the week. Their staff are warm and accommodating. The food is, well I guess, average. The rooms are clean. The swimming pool is nice. The lighting is... More

Glad my stay was only only for an overnight accommodation. First I was given a room at the very end of the hotel, upon entering turned on the a/c unit but after approx an hour it was not yet cooling so i requested that I be transferred to another. The new room likewise has an old dilapidated a/c unit, barely... More

Pity how a once great place can turn so bad. Lack of maintenance was apparent shining in the eye: windows with a broken lock, shower in need of a fix, producing smelly water (although that can be issue with the Butuan water company), bathtub I am not going to use due to it's state, water leaking at the fountain (wife... I booked over the phone for 14days for a family short vacation. Our first night was terrible. We see cockroaches running the room, cobwebs everywhere and the cabinets tables and the floor were all very dusty.Even 2 glasses prepared in the table were all dusty and smelly. The room was quite big with a bath tub.For that long stay they should prepare the...
