First time we have stayed here. As La Paix in Tournus where we usualy stay was full. Though this hotel cost more we enjoyed our stay. The owner was very helpfu and made us feel welcomel. Our rooms were spacious and lovely. Parking was easy and secure. Restaurant was a delight and the food was very good. Good wine list.... More

We've known this restaurant for many years and its always been excellent. It's recently changed hands and... is now even better! The cheapest menu (29 euro which is insanely cheap) is very very traditional for Burgundy: snails, poached eggs in red wine etc. We had the in-between priced menu (the price is completely flexible according to how many 'plats' you... I am a visitor of this place for many years. It is a very comfortable and cozy stop-over hotel near the way (A6) to the south or the Alpes and near Tournus. Your car can be stalled safe in front of your room and in an enclosed courtyard. Unfortunately since a few months Chef Jean - Francis Beaufays and his... More

Haven't been for about six years, called on our way to Brugge from Bergerac for an overnight stay. The room in the main house was fine but the high point has to be the food. The meal can only be described as fine dining at it's very best, these people certainly know what it's all about, food, wine and service at it's... More

Coming from Calais going to Switzerland, Italy, French Alps or Riviera, it's a good distance: about 7 hours drive. We found it many years ago, going through the Guide Michelin and looking for a good restaurant (2 crossed forks and knives or better) with hotel accomodation in the area between Beaune and Macon. If the weather is nice you eat... More

This was our first visit to La Bressane for about 8 years and it was reassuring to find that this splendid hotel/restaurant is still in good form and safe in the hands of Jean - Francis Beaufays, Maitre Cuisinier de France, and his wife. One of the advantages of this hotel is its ease of access off the motorway South... More

We enjoyed an overnight stay on our way South, and booked a junior suite which was upstairs in the separate garden block, so very quiet. The room was amazing, extremely spacious and beautifully furnished with a modern and stylish bathroom with very large corner bath with shower over, twin basins etc, separate WC. Unusually for France there was even a... More

A really nice property, with lovely staff. We stayed here en route to the south for one night in a garden room that was large, clean and very comfortable inside with it's own table and chairs under a veranda outside. A big plus was being able to park our car outside the room in a secure off road location. Dinner... More

We stayed here for the food which was very good and the service excellent both at dinner and breakfast. Our room was at the back of the main building and was spacious and comfortable. If you like sleeping with the windows open (there is a/c), there is noise from the road. We had major problems with the wifi, apparently due... More

We have been looking for a new place to stop-over on the drive to the Alps and are pleased to have found Hostellerie Bressane. Cuisery is near the A6 although we stupidly turned the wrong way in Tournus at the first attempt (basic french satnav and via michelin notes not clear). We booked one of the motel rooms off the...
