Four of us shared a room on a recent surf trip to the area and found it to be clean, comfortable and a great location up on the mountain. The view from the top widow's watch was incredible. The included breakfast was delicious after a morning surf. Atmosphere of the hotel was better than any we found in the area.... More

Great people, beautiful place with scenery and animals to view. Native food with activities for all... Very romantic for couples with epic views! Far drive but worth the epic surf and remote beauty. Thank you for the experience to all the staff!!

Amazing, beautiful, great views, terrific food, so many gorgeous details. We travelled with our group and didn't know exactly what to expect. The staff was professional and took care of us from the start. Each room was different and they were all great. We saw sloths and red scarlet macaws every day. The beach is a 5 min walk away.... Can't say enough good about this amazing place! For being in such a remote location I was surprised by the quality of the rooms, the food and the atmosphere. I had one of the best meals I've ever had served while overlooking the pristine beach and jungle of Pavones. Tasia, the manaager, is amazing and was attentive to every detail... More

The grounds are beautiful, the food is great and the staff is so accommodating and kind. Tasia was such a great help. Our kids enjoyed their fried banana-cookie-ice cream dessert. We will definitely be back.

My husband and I retired to Dominical, Costa Rica in 2008. Our daughter and her husband live in Pavones, so we visit frequently. This time we had a family member visiting who wanted to see Pavones, so we booked the suite with 2 bedrooms for one night. It truly is The Castle of Pavones! The room was large and comfortable... This is by far the best place to stay in Pavones! You can actually drink the water out of the tap, the food is amazing, and the rooms and views spectacular! And being just a 5-min walk from the point, surfers should definitely consider sharing a room here! We were in the Aves with our 2 kids and did not... More

If you want luxury in Pavones (not easy to find) then this is the spot. Exceptional rooms and service prevail. Todd the proprietor could not have been more helpful and the staff were friendly and keen to help in any way. The rooftop terrace has to be seen to be believed and the plethora of wildlife surrounding the hotel is... More
