Recently there was a guide that gave their opinion on the 10 hidden gems in Europe ... it was a good read except they missed one place in their guide, The Bleachfield Bistro. Although we live local and have driven passed this place many times we have never dined here ... what a mistake that was .. A few us... More

We enjoyed the most perfect week here, mostly because of our comfortable stay at Bleachfields. Loads of things to do in the area yet the village is quiet and restful. The site is right on the Ring of Kerry and the accomodations were quite comfortable and incredibly inexpensive. Nice to have a kitchen living room with TV and WiFi for... More

Had lunch here recently and it was my second time. A gorgeous restaurant, very cosy especially if you were lucky enough to be seated near the open fire. Lunch was delicious but portions were huge! Our waitress was Aoife who was absolutely lovely. My only tiny complaint was that the seats were very hard and uncomfortable, a cushion on each... More

I am a local from a nearby town Killarney, I work in miltown and eat here most days for my lunch. I also have regularly had dinner here and just can't get enough of the place. Very reasonably priced and food is very fresh. Staff are extremely pleasant also. I would recommend this bistro to anyone they seem to cater... More

I had dinner here. The food was delicious. I loved the seafood chowder. And the entertainment was pure Irish fun--the singing and dancing. Thank goodness I did not get picked to do the broom dance. And the leprechaun was so funny. Thanks for a great evening.

We chanced upon the bistro a couple of years ago and had such a lovely meal there and liked the look of the traditional style cottages we decided to come back for a weeks visit. The cottage was lovely and cosy, ideally situated to travel either the Dingle or Iveragh peninsula, easy to get to by air using the local... More

We recently dined at Bleachfield Bistro and it was the best meal of our trip to Ireland (which also included much more expensive "five-star" fare.) The bistro is very quaint and cozy. We didn't have a reservation, but slipped into a table downstairs. A bus full of people soon poured into the room upstairs, but still our service was prompt... More

When we saw this place, we fell in love with the first cottage that we saw. It had a thathed roof, and a red door, just like we used to draw in landscape drawings back in school. we had a look from inside too before booking. It had 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living area, fully equipped kitchen. the cost... More

We stayed in bleachfield for 3 nights at the end of august with our friends and our 2 dogs. This was our second visit. It's great to be able to take our dog on holiday with us. Beautifully furnished cosy houses in a fantastic location! The bistro serves excellent food at great prices and the Guinness is some of the... More
