My husband booked two nights as we visiting various sites around Somerset. We were politely greeted and shown to our room; as the door opened, I smelt a very musty smell. After the lady had left, it was clear the room hadn't been cleaned for some time; there was dust underneath surfaces, spider's webs in the bathroom and something resembling... More

We stayed here with friends overnight while sight seeing around Somerset, the couple Gilly and Vern were very friendly, pleasant and helpful. On arrival they made us feel very welcome and made us all a lovely cup of tea, the rooms are pleasant and the beds were very comfortable. The farm is in a small quiet village, you do have... More

The people were friendly and went out of their way to make lovely home cooked food, which was very delicious. But, The house smelt of cat wee and the bed looked and felt over 20yrs old, it was like being all at sea with a very rocky night sharing a bed. The masserater in the ensuite was very noisy. The... 4 of us stayed whilst attending a wedding. Vern was fantastic and kindly took us to the church, and Gilly gave us the number of a lady a few doors down with a taxi to pick us up later that night. Vern was really flexible on our breakfast time (on a Sunday) as we had to get back for the... More

We stayed at Yew Tree Farm for one night on the eve of Glastonbury festival 2015. Three of us arrived first from London and were warmly greeted by Vern and Gilly. They showed us round the farm house and to our room - lovely triple bed with a power shower. As it was tea time we took up the offer... More

I stayed for a night during April 2015 whilst on business in Glastonbury; having previously stayed for a week during January. The building is a 17th century farmhouse which has been tastefully modernised so that the rooms have en-suite facilities whilst retaining their period appearance. The bed was comfortable and as a eccentric but interesting touch, was covered in a... More

The landlady was incredibly curt to the point of being rude upon our arrival. The room was incredibly dusty and the bed linen felt as though it had not been washed, ever. There were hairs (belonging to a previous guest) under the pillow, say no more. This triggered my asthma and feel the HSE and Environmental Health officer should be... More

This is a very old building so allowances must be made, and clearly some effort has been made to modernise with a new ensuite. But the room was very musty and dusty. The toilet had a macerator that went off every 15 mins. And the bed was very old and uncomfortable. My husband ended up sleeping on the floor. The... More

We have stayed with Gilly and Vern for several years, using it as a base to keep our car safe, as we travel abroad. Vern taxi's us to Bristol Airport and back. This is a lovely quaint old converted farm, deep in the Somerset countryside. Quiet, very old and charming. Your hosts Vern and Gilly will treat you as family,... More
