First of all: the house and the rooms are delightful. The place has been carefully renovated and restored, the interior is beautiful, the beds are great. The big problem there is the service. Monika is running the B&B all by herself and has done so for many many years. Some people seem to have a trouble-less stay there, as the... More

This B & B is absolutely precious in its unique setting and beauty. Monika was so delightful via email but somewhat disappointing during our stay. Emails confirmed she'd be happy with a 2:00 check in - she was nowhere to be found. Went for a cappuccino and hot chocolate and at 2:30 met up with her returning to Talking Stones.... More

Review del 12 gen.2014 It was raining a lot in that period and told them to come for the time they would need at 14.00 hour but I forgot to check my agenda this day and the real check-in time is after 16.00 houre. I always give my guest the possibility to help them and make the arrive as less... More

The uppermost "air" bedroom 1 queen and 1 single was charming. All old stone on the walls and ceiling. Be prepared to climb 3 floors with your things. The view one floor above was spectacular! One could see the mountains in the distance and the old Roman village and church tower across town. View above the rooftops was cool. Romantic... More

This B&B is located in a four storey townhouse in the old cobbled streets of Dolceacqua. It has been modernised sympathetically and gives you a taste of life in the old town but with modern facilities. Monika is a friendly and helpful host who knows the town well and is full of advice. The continental breakfast was more than enough... More

Dropped in at Dolceacqua for the first time prior to a longer stay in Nice area. Delightful village and surroundings, welcoming people and Talking Stones is a great place for a few nights B&B - clean, comfortable, quirky rooms, great host and good breakfasts on a roof top terrace with superb views. Ask about the closest car park before you... More

It was a family vacation. We rented the three rooms for a week. The rooms are unique with stone walls, clean and comfortable. Excellent location in the center of the village near restaurants and grocery stores. Monika was very helpful , let us use her iron and gave us tips for places to visit in the area. The disadvantages are... More

My girlfriend and I drove around Liguria and Piemonte for a week, and this was far and away our favorite place. Monica is extremely nice and fun to hang out, even serving a delicious breakfast every day. All of the rooms are very tasteful - it feels like you're in an old castle, but as warm and cozy as an... Dolceacqua is a charming and picturesque little town, and our stay here was made even more memorable by staying at Talking Stones. This really is a special place. Monika has done a beautiful job tastefully, and thoughtfully renovating the B&B. We also had a beautiful meal at Osteria dell'Acqua Dolce. Highly recommended, we will be back!

We just returned from Dolceacqua and stayed here for 2 nights. What a wonderful B&B. The interior is all stone like the exterior and so charming. The room was the top one just under the roof terrace. The room was beautifully appointed with a comfortable bed, a sofa and a very modern bathroom. Breakfast was also more than adequate. Monika... More
