We have stayed here several times - it is always a treat to look forward to. The welcome is warm and the rooms are comfortable. We love breakfast in the elegant garden on sunny mornings. Everything about this hotel is professional and well-done. The sympathetic owner even made me tissanes of herbs from the garden when I turned up with... More

Loved the handy location, the friendly owners, the creative touches around the place, the pretty breakfast/tea room, the lovely garden with patio for a drink or breakfast in the sunshine... The bedroom was grand and the en suite was good. We enjoyed our two nights, bought a bottle of Calvados from the local products on offer in the breakfast room,... More

The owners here should not be in the hotel business at all. The whole place feels as if it is set up for the convenience of the management and the guests are a nuisance. Booking a room felt like they were doing you a favour rather than valuing your custom. If you book by phone you must confirm by email,but... More

We understand the disappointment of Redgate. But we are not sure at all that this event took place in our hotel : all our guests in April or May had a confirmed reservation and of course a bedroom. So we ask Redgate to confirm exactly where it happened. We asked for an help from Tripadvisor ; we received only this... More

We stayed here for the weekend while visiting friends. The owners were friendly and helpful, the hotel is attractive, the room was comfortable, facing the garden, which in itself is gorgeous. I couldn't fault this pretty little 2* French-style hotel and would certainly stay there again.

Pros: nice hotel in the center of town; large room facing street and garden (number 9 I believe); large bathroom; very pretty dining room for breakfast and gardens; welcoming staff. Cons: spacious and otherwise nicely appointed room offset by linoleum floors, low beds, and bed linens that had seen better days--not dirty, just dated; in my opinion overpriced for quality... More

This was a great hotel we used as a last minute stop over. The people were very friendly and helpful. However we were not very impressed when booking in we were asked if we would like breakfast. We said no as we were leaving early and would get breakfast later. She then said oh but breakfast is compulsory and is... More

Our second visit in as many years and the homely atmosphere is inspiring. The hosts are very welcoming, giving that personal touch, nothing is too much trouble. Wonderful building and gardens, formerly, I believe, a rich merchants house. Large, clean, comfortable rooms. Highly recommended.

We stayed at Le Conquerant for 3 nights recently in May. The property is magnificent! The friendly owners, Pierre and Catherine, were delightful. They were so pleasant and helpful from the moment that we checked in. They gave us great advice about local eating and things to visit. The room overlooking both the street and the incredible garden was large... More

I stayed here with a friend in August 2012 and was very impressed. Our garden view room was large and comfortable, and the shower was amazing. The hotel was close to the "center" of the small town, so it was easy to get dinner and beer at one of the local pubs. Our whole experience in Barfleur was relaxing and... More

The hotel (the only hotel in town) is an historic building with a beautiful, large, walled garden. Our spacious room had a view of this garden and we could just see the port beyond. The furnishings are fairly simple and there is no wifi but there is a lot of charm and there are some nice touches - we were... More
