The cottages look out over a driving range, with a beautiful sillouette of a mountain far away. We are in one of the 2-room units that has a bedroom and a living room and kitchen. It's very roomy with nice finishes (granite countertops, gas stove, satellite TV, etc.). The kitchen is fairly well stocked so it's easy to cook and eat "at home." There is also a gas fireplace, although this is August and the weather here is perfect, so no need for a fire. There is a nice porch with a barbeque. There is a big bathroom in the master bedroom with two sinks (a plus when traveling with a partner), a double-headed shower, and a jettet tub--and another large half-bath off the kitchen.
On the negative side, the carpet has stains all over it. It's not dirty overall, but it looks like there are many spills from previous guests--not a difficult problem to fix with a cheap Hoover. Also, there ae two overhead lightbulbs that need replacing, and the batteries in one of the remotes...

My husband and I and our two boys (ages 3 and 3 months) needed a quick getaway for some fun family time and relaxation. We got both at the Bailey Creek Cottages at Bailey Creek Golf Course in Lake Almanor. If you love to golf, this will be an extra special treat for you. We don't golf, but we still had a wonderful stay. Our one room cottage had a large bathroom with a jacuzzi tub (a plus for mom), a kitchenette (perfect with little ones), a king size bed, plus sofa bed, and a private deck with BBQ. It was nice to be amongst the beautiful setting, away from the hustle and bustle of the lakeshore, but still close enough if we wanted to enjoy the lake. Small town charm and scenic settings made it a perfect getaway. We are renting a two room cottage and taking family up for Thanksgiving .... we can't wait to return!
