The pool was really cold and dirty, the spa was ice cold over the 4th of July, the carpets were filthy and smelled really bad, the showers needed grout, the air conditioner was so loud we had to turn it off to talk, no screens on the bathroom windows, and the maintenance guy came around and could see right in... More

We stayed at the Tahoe Tropicana this past weekend and were disgusted by the state of our accomodations. In general, the hotel is shabby and in disrepair. The carpet in our room was dirty, the bedding was old and worn, there was a layer of dust on the head of the bed, the bathroom needed new paint and grout in... More

“Depressing, run-down hotel in Lake Tahoe”

I paid $75 per night for a supposedly 2.5 star hotel. The rooms and office were worn-out and run-down. The 70s carpet was dingy and dirty-looking. The paint is old and scratched. The furniture is old, worn and scratched. The bathrooms need serious updating to fix the patched walls, moldy grout in the tub, worn and damaged sink and vanity.... More
