We just returned from a 2 week trip to northern California we stayed 3 nights at the Alpenrose .The hotel is very clean and comfortable the location great 5 minutes walk to the beach on the lake and also walking distance to great shopping and restuarants Also Hannah the owner a mine of information and very kind and helpful.. overall... more

What a fabulous place! Stayed for four nights, and was very impressed with the cleanliness. What is so noticeable is the owner's care and flair for decorating. Hannah and Jill made sure that we visited the must-see sites and gave us great advice on eateries, etc. Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Tahoe, and definitely plan to return often. more

Older buy very nice rooms. Our king bed room had a small gas fireplace, fridge, microwave, and coffemaker, and lots of cutsie stuff on the walls. Everything was clean and worked well, and the owner was more than friendly and helpful. more
