Fist class all the way in everything- what else can you say? Jerry and Kevin have created the ultimate experience in a Bed & Breakfast. The custom designed and built lodge and cabins are exquisite in every detail- with all areas furnished with hand picked antiques and furnishing from the Texas Hill Country ( as Texans, we love how all... more

We are in a group of dermatologists who ski and study in some of the nicest places in the world. This time (on the advice of Phil Humphries) we stayed at the Black Bear Inn and were delighted. The owners (Jerry & Kevin) and their staff have really created something wonderful here, and have an outstanding reputation in the Tahoe... more

We stayed here for 1 night on 12/31 for a quick tahoe ski getaway and to have time relaxing in front of a cozy fireplace new year's eve. Overall this place delivered and i would recommend for a stay on the south part of the lake. The property itself is quite beautiful exuding a rustic mountain style that is still... more

The Black Bear Inn is a fantastic B&B that I would HIGHLY recommend for anyone that loves a beautiful room, wonderful food and fantastic hosts. We were married at the Black Bear over Thanksgiving and had the most perfect time. Jerry performed the ceremony, while Kevin took great pictures. Jerry and Kevin prepared outstanding breakfasts each day as well as... more

We loved our three night stay at the Black Bear Inn and won't stay anywhere else when we go to Tahoe. We stayed in the Black Bart room and found Jerry and Kevin to be delightful hosts. Upon our arrival Jerry told us about the wine and cheese that would be served from 5-6 in the main lodge. What an... more

We stayed at Black Bear Inn August 8-11, 2008. What an absolutely perfect get-away from the hot August days of summer in Texas. From the moment we arrived until our too-soon departure, all was exactly as we had hoped. The breakfast each morning was not only to-die-for but picture perfect too! And the wine and hors d'oeuvres gathering in the... more

A small group of us stayed in the cabins Sept 18-21, 2008. The trip and accomodations could not have been better. The breakfast alone is worth the trip. Kevin & Jerry go out of their way to make certain everything is as perfect as it can be. Will most certainly return to Lake Tahoe and without a doubt stay at... more

We stayed at the Black Bear Inn in last weekend and I can say, without a doubt, this was one of the most wonderful experiences we've had while travelling. Jerry and Kevin, the innkeepers, have created a beautiful oasis in South Lake Tahoe that, in my opinion, rivals some of the best hotels in this country. The Inn and rooms... more

The innkeepers Jerry and Kevin are friendly, informative and creative. They provide a comfortable, serene, but decadent environment. The rooms and cabins are filled with antiques and personal touches from the owners. They have built the Inn from the ground up and the love that went into the construction shows. The breakfasts are right out of a gourmet kitchen. The... more

We had a group of 15 gals all at once at the Black Bear Inn. Jeff and Kevin were excellent hosts. The grounds were immaculate as were the rooms. Very generous sized breakfasts were served with different place settings every day. Happy Hour was delicious with red and white wines, cheeses, crackers, and other hors d'oeuvres. Jeff and Kevin also... more
