The Lazy S - The price is right, the bed comfortable, a roaring fireplace to sip wine next too with a loved one, and a front porch to drink a cup of morning coffee on and smell the fresh air and scented pine tree's. Ah, the good life! Clean, comfortable and off the beaten path, the Lazy S has our... more

South Lake Tahoe can get pricey during ski season, so we were glad to see that the Lazy S Lodge, with $75/night rates, was rated so highly here at tripadvisor.com. Considering it was less than half the cost of most other lodging we could find on the internet, we called them up and made our reservation. One week prior to... more

I love this place. The rooms are simple, clean, comfortable, quiet, and the price is right. While I was there the pool was kept crystal-clear clean. The Lodge is surrounded by trees and I enjoyed swimming in the evening looking up at the trees and stars and later relaxing in the Jacuzzi. (The pool was heated during my visits.) We... more

We had to go to Lake Tahoe for a wedding and wanted something where most of the party could be at the same place. I was a little worried since we didn't know anything about this place but it was great! The rooms were like a duplex with a small kitchen area and a woodburning stove. They had a nice... more

Thank you Tripadvisor users for recommending the Lazy Lodge at South/ West Lake Tahoe! My parents from Italy, my husband and I stayed at this quiet motel and we absolutely loved it! All cars are parked directly behind the rooms and from the front porches guests only see the pool, jacuzzi, grassy area, BBQ sites, and trees. We enjoyed our... more

I've stayed here 2 nights, Feb 18th and 19th 2005, president's day weekend. We were there for skiing at Sierra at Tahoe. Such a nice homely place! They have rooms with microwaves and fridges for 79 and with the full kitchenettes for 89. They add 10 dollars for holidays. Now here's what you get: 1. A nice quiet place tucked... more

I liked this place and I felt it was a good value compared to most alternatives in the Camp Richardson area. It must date back to the 1960s but it is very well maintained. No A/C but there is a ceiling fan. The bike trail going north starts right behind this motel and a bike rental place is just a... more

A very homey place to stay! Just north of the Y, well off the stateline action - Quiet neighborhood. The rooms are just like home! Only a but more quaint! The rooms have a microwave and fridge, ceiling fans, and linens that feel more like home than a hotel. There are BBQ pits, a spa, picnic tables - a great... more

Great value and decent rooms. They offer a "ski package" deal: 2 room cottage, wood burning fireplace, small kitchen, TV, lift tickets for Kirkwood (or Heavenly, Squaw Valley) and a wine+cheese+fruit basket. All for $106 per person. Not bad! The rooms are very basic and the location is so-so, but most of the reasonably priced hotels in the Tahoe area... more
