After reading reviews of this motel I decided to give it a chance anyway. I was pleasantly surprised. Its no 5 star but it is; clean, comfortable bed, no mold in the shower and the staff is exceptionaly friendly. The manager (Lisa) went out of her way to make sure I was satisfied with everything. In short, I would reccomend... more

We booked 2 separate weekends. The first, we were stuck in a one bed room next to the front office. Very bad experience. The room was smelly, the sheets were clean but the cover was dirty. The carpet was dirty. There was no hot water so we can't shower. The light in the bathroom did not work. We checked in... more

We stayed at the Travel Inn in South Lake Tahoe on July 18, 2008 for a dive trip. It is a small traditional motel right on the main drag. The price was reasonable and we even got a reduction when we checked in. Clerk was very friendly and helpful. Room was rustic and basic, but clean and neat. No A/C,... more

The room was REAL cheap with a coupon from a travel magazine. We didn't expect much but hoped for cleanliness. I would not go back to a place that was dirty, no matter what the price. Travel Inn exceeded our expectations. It was very clean, newer paint and bathroom appointments. Everything worked. There was no air conditioning, but a fan... more

Drove in to this place simply because it was convenient. Didn't expect too much, but was very pleasantly surprised given that I only paid about 44USD per night (June 2008). Receptionist (Lisa?) was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well maintained. The free wireless internet worked fine. There is a brew-pub right next door, if that's your thing.... more

This place exceededt my expectations. The hot tub was great after a day on the ski slopes and $164 for 3 nights in South Lake Tahoe and about a mile from Hevenly in mid Febraury. how can you go wrong. Its an older motel but I had no problem and would stay there AGAIN! more

BEWARE! Large room but the positives end there! No A/C had to open window to trash strewn alley for some fresh air. Rooms are in extreme need of upgrade as they have seen way too many parting teenagers. Stained carpet and ancient bedspreads, funky smell. Was completely grossed out the entire stay. Will NEVER return. more

We picked this hotel since it was the cheapest, and it turned out to be a really nice place. The rooms were very spacious and clean, and the people working there were very friendly. I came in to the front desk every morning before going snowboarding to drink some coffee and chat with the lady working there who was always... more

Although the hotel was cheap, we had a horrible stay! The sheets were very itchy, the bathroom light wouldn't turn on all the way a day into our stay, the TV made a loud humming noise (it was probably a 20 year old tv) and the first morning of our stay we found a tick in our bed. We told... more

I would never come back again. Prices make the place look good, but the inn is horrible. So many better options in So Lake Tahoe. Go ellsewhere! You won't regret it. more
