My girlfriend and I were in Tahoe for a week at the beginning of June for a relaxing vacation. The lodge is on the main drag in South Lake Tahoe, right across from Heavenly Gondola and a small walk from the Casinos. The location is great. I was a little concernced about the room since the pictures and descriptions made... more

We had time for an overnight trip to Tahoe with family members on Saturday night but did not have advance reservations do to the last minute decision to go on Saturday morning. I tried a few of the highest rated motels/hotels with reasonable rates and found no vacancy or two night min stay. The internet site went down before I... more

After much internet searching, we decided to try the Stardust. It was one of the most affordable lodges, and got pretty good reviews. I was traveling with my daughter, her husband, and their 2 and 4 year old sons. We had a one bedroom suite. My grandson and I always end up sharing the sofa bed, but it was very... more

The motel, which, along with RCI, jokingly considers itself a "timeshare resort" is excellently located for skiing at Heavenly or for catching other shuttles. It is also close to casinos and a few eating and drinking options. Yes, "most" of the staff are friendly and helpful, but not "all" of them. Furthermore, most places I stay at the staff is... more

My husband and I have been here for a week to ski and this place exceeded my expectations. The staff is wonderful because they are pleasant and seem to love their jobs. Breakfast is great...they serve hot oatmeal (cooked each morning), doughnuts, hard boiled eggs, fruit, and Sunny Delight. There are plenty of activities at the resort for families and... more

I LOVED the Stardust!! From the amazing 50's-era sign to the perfect location (you walk across the street to the chair lift for Heavenly ski resort) to the ultra-friendly staff, this place is unbelievable. It is in the heart of Lake Tahoe, within walking distance to shopping, eating, and drinking -- but with everything the Stardust has to offer, there's... more

This is our new favorite place in Tahoe. The location, the staff, the accomodations..and, oh yeah, the cat, Dusty! Upon check-in, we were greeted by the friendly staff. With our keys, we were given information packets of Tahoe happenings, along with razors, gum, etc. Fun! The lobby has popcorn, donuts, coffee and fruit all day, or at least while it... more

We stayed at the Stardust during the holiday week between x-mas and new years 2008. The room rate we paid was $175/nt which is higher than the average but was to be expected given the holiday season. The main objective for our trip was a snowboarding vacation in South Lake Tahoe. This little hotel was in a great location on... more

The Stardust Lodge was the perfect place for us to stay during our visit to South Lake Tahoe. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful throughout the stay and check-in. We had an updated 1 bedroom suite which was beautifully decorated with all upgraded appliances and furniture. It was conveniently located within walking distance of a grocery store, shops, Heavenly... more
