My husband and I found this hotel to be very comfortable, well appointed and extremely convenient. We were particularly impressed with the front desk staff. Thea Marie was exceptionally helpful and friendly. She gave us excellent suggestions for dining and tips on the best place to watch the firework display over Lake Tahoe. We could not have asked for more... more

The rooms are dark and have a tiny jail house window. Do not expect any nice view for the most part. Our room was non-smoking but every time we are in the bathroom, there was the odor of cigarrete smoke coming through the vents. The people are great but the hotel is not worth your money. I would suggest the... more

Flew into Reno, NV and picked up an Alamo full size car (or so I thought) which turned out to be a Chevy Malibu. Not what I would call a full size. If you are thinking of renting from Alamo in Reno at the airport and want a full size car, rent from another outfit. The ride upto Lake Tahoe... more

This hotel is really fun -- it's in California but located a 'driveway' away from Harrah's, in Nevada. Rooms are lovely, quiet, comfortable and roomy. Loaded with "ski-wear dressed" families, who were fun to observe. Depending on how crowded things are, parking can be a problem ... we parked in the Harrah's lot. But when it's busy the parking fee... more

We went to Lake Tahoe for the first time on our annual family ski trip. We picked this hotel because of its amenities and location. We loved staying here. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We booked the ski package/room so the convenience of obtaining our lift tickets at the front desk was very nice. The complimentary breakfast was... more

Read the reviews before we booked the Embassy Suites and wasn't quite sure. In the end we decided to give it a go. We travelled to Lake Tahoe for two reasons, to get married at Emerald Bay and also for the skiing. Rooms were a good size and clean. Like the idea of the lounge area and separate bedroom as... more

We loved it! the service was great. we asked for several things during our 4 night stay and it was brought to us promptly. everything was tidy and clean everyday. our room was not the most expensive but our view of the snowy mountains was amazing. the breakfast was sooooo good and the manager's reception was such a great touch.... more

We are a family of 3 and just recently returned from a 4 nights stay at Embassy Suites Lake Tahoe. We got a suite with 2 queen beds on the 8th floor (husband is diamond member so was upgraded to a renovated room). The room is quite large and perfect for us. Not exactly sure what renovation was made since... more

The rooms are large but somewhat dated with an 1990's feel. Best things about this hotel are the location (close to the Gondola and casinos) and the fantastic breakfast that is included in your stay. more

This place is overpriced. We were there for a week over a holiday and it was very, very busy there. The hot -cooked breakfast line was really long all week, especially Thursday-Sunday. We bypassed it and went for the buffet breakfast every morning. The food was pretty good. We were disappointed because we chose Embassy for the warm breakfast and... more
