I stayed at this hotel as part of a technology conference. The hotel was very nice, especially for the price I paid. Further, it was right next door to Harah's, so I could really gamble if I chose to do so. On the other side is the Heavenly Gondola. All walking distance. We have frequented Embassy Suites for years. The one in Lake Tahoe has shown decline in services over the past two years. The rooms are nice, but you can still get a room that does not have a flat screen tv. The breakfast area is large, but the food isn't as fresh as we've had it at other Embassy Suites.... more

We stayed one night before the annual Tour de Tahoe bicycle ride. They had no problem with us keeping our bikes in the room. Front desk staff was very friendly. They had the kitchen staff bring food out early the next morning for the cyclists that were staying at the property as we needed to be riding at 6:30 am... more

I love the location of the hotel because you can just walk to shopping, food, gondola, etc....It is right in the middle of everything. Also, the hotel does not have a casino so it is great for kids. But if you want to gamble, all you have to do is cross one block and you are now in the Nevada... more

Hotel next to Harvey and Harrahs. Across the street from beautiful Lake Tahoe. Nice location. Not the cleanest hotel, as I found nightstand with sticky soda residue from previous guest. I stayed at this hotel for about a week to attend a conference that the hotel was hosting. My problems started about a month before the trip when I filled out a credit-card authorisation form (as I was paying with a Corporate Card and not travelling with it)..Sufficed to say after seven or eight phone messages left back and forth... more

However, when you consider the complimentry breakfast and afternoon manager's reception, the rate is a little easier to swallow. Great desk and concierge staff. Echo restaurant located in the hotel was also very nice and had great food. Fee for wireless and parking ($25 per night) was a downer... Could park at the Harrah's next door for free. more

My wife, teenage daughter and I stayed here for a week in June 2009.
