We spent 3 nights at the Timber Cove Lodge and found it very pleasant. I wanted a lakefront room, but no nonsmoking rooms were available, so I booked a "partial view" room instead. We were more than satisified with the view we had. It was not one of those "stand on the balcony, look to the left, and that teeny... more

Went for Memorial Day weekend this year, and was staying in a hotel for the first time with our 7 month old. Well appointed rooms, great location - with a private beach, the lake facing rooms are really lake facing. We took a partial lake view room with a king bed, (tree blocking view!). Clean, comfortable, reasonably spacious. Good for... more

We requested one type of room via online and received what we wanted. We then changed our minds for a room with a view and was granted one by the friendly staff. Thank you Chris and Aimee. I like it because there's a Safeway across the street, Long's Drugs to the left, Indian and Mexican restaurants all within walking distance.... more

I'd reserved a lake view room and requested early check-in. When I arrived shortly after 11 AM I was told that my room was ready. Yay! Since I'd brought along my dog I was limited to a select few 1st floor rooms. Ok. No biggie. The room they put me in was around to the right and most definitely did... more

The room was smaller than the standard room in casinos. The walls are very thin. Bring earplugs to make sure you can get some sleep, esp if you have to wake up early to head to the slopes We enjoyed the simple breakfast buffet. There were waffles, bagels, toast, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, juices, milk and tea. Overall, an ok stay... more

This hotel is right on the beach of South Lake Tahoe and has a pier stretching out into the lake. It is a couple of miles out of the main part of South Lake Tahoe town so you need to drive in if you want shops, casinos and the Heavenly Gondola (park in the Horizon Casino car park which is... more

My Wife and I stayed in the Timber Cove Lodge in a room facing the lake. Room also featured a fireplace and was very nice and clean. All in all well worth the money. Recommended. more

Have to say, I was very happy with this Accomodation. spent the week there from 7th sept til 14th. and although the resturaunt was being renovated and there was no bar, I found the place in excellent condition and ideally located. the rooms are very large and offer great access to all the amenities. definitely worth it. more

We just got back from a 2 night stay at the Best Western Timber Cove (Aug. 1-3) and could not have been more pleased with our stay in a partial view King non-smoking room for $144/nt (AAA discount). For easy reference, here are the highlights: 1. The BW Timber Cover has an incredible location directly on a wide, clean sandy... more

The usually reliable Best Western Chain let me down this time. My wife and I booked a trip to Tahoe for our anniversary and we were looking for something with Beach and a view. BWTC seemed to fit the bill. Upon arrival I was not impressed with the front desk experience. Including one staff person talking to another about how... more
