My daughters and I recently spent three days at Gaia as a birthday treat and as an opportunity to relax, reconnect and rejuvenate. It really ticked all the boxes. It has a wonderfully nurturing environment, with luxurious rooms, beautiful gardens and a spectacular outlook, daily yoga and other activities, and nourishing spa treatments. But most surprising of all was the... More

I spent a long weekend at Gaia and was able to totally relax. The staff are all wonderful and you can see they are carefully selected. The setting in the Byron Bay Hinterland is gorgeous. Close enough to get to but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. I had a facial with Jodi on the first day and... More

I took my Mum for an early 70th birthday present earlier this year and we thoroughly enjoyed the relaxation. We were collected at the airport and transported in style to the retreat. Due to it being quiet we were upgraded to adjoining rooms rather than sharing, which was nice. Loved the little gift bag on the bed and the selection... More

I have just returned from my 6th visit to Gaia & it is its very uniqueness that is one of the great attractions for me. There is always a warm & gracious welcome & a gentle feeling of calm & stillness that envelops the entire Retreat surroundings. It is a place for me to slow down, unwind & regain a... More

My friend and I have been here a number of times. Each time it is like coming home to a great welcome by a warm and loving family. Everything offered is of the highest standard. Each of the spa treatments offered are excellent, with each practitioner being absolutely engaged with you and your specific needs. Between treatments, the gardens, sporting and... More

Just spent 2 nights here on the spa package. Lovely gardens, very comfortable room and bathroom . Excellent spa services. However at the prices charged I would expect the standard of service and amenities to be faultless. Some minor issues which would be nothing in a mid range hotel irritated. Eg no coffee in the rooms, no sugar, no milk... More

Catriona thank you for taking the time to write, we welcome your feedback. I clearly remember meeting you on a few occasions, one of them which was your enquiry about the temperature of the Pool. I personally checked with the Operations Manager who tested the Temperature of the pool which was 22, I am confused where the differing information has... More

Then you should go here. Some details: * if you fly in to Ballina airport they will organise airport transfers. I realized when I got to Ballina I didn't have the details of where I should meet the transfer etc. no worries, when I turned my phone back on after the flight there was already a voicemail from the driver... You could not ask for anything more from the beautiful Gaia Retreat. I have been to numerous retreat spaces around the world and this is the most beautiful in it's design, natural surroundings and it's culture. The magical and spiritual energy of Byron Bay pervade the interactions with staff and practitioners in a gentle subtle but also non-invasive way. There... More

I recently spent 3 nights at this beautiful location with my mother and daughter. We each wanted to refresh and relax for different reasons and each found that sense of calm and serenity that we were seeking. The location is beautiful, the staff incredibly focused on meeting our every need and from the time we woke up to the sounds... More
