We have just returned from a nights stay at the George at Wath, the food was truly excellent and the presentation was superb. It is certainly not pub food and more al a carte restaurant food. We stayed the night and the accomodation was really lovely and the pub extremely friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was also fantastic with a...

lovely place. Staff very attentive. Good quality food and drink in the restaurant. Even though it is also the village pub the rooms are very quiet with comfortable beds. Centrally placed for exploring this bit of Yorkshire.
Hotel very clean and rooms very well furnished and decorated. bed was really comfortable and slept extremely well. staff very pleasant and helpful. good breakfast choices and good quality food. only thing i would alter is the evening menu and would like to see a few plainer dishes added to the set menu other than fish. Highly recommended. One other...

Rooms are superb and this is probably the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in. Luxury toiletries, homemade...

Evening meal was excellent, good sized portions, perfectly cooked & presented. Between us we had steak, roast cod with very good 'proper' chips, followed an interesting selection of cheeses. Good choice of breakfast menu...
