I stayed here with my husband for one night after researching other places to stay in the area. This place seemed to tick all the boxes and offered good value for a bit of luxury and seemed to have some positive reviews. The rooms are in a purpose built sort of motel row above this old, very quaint Inn. They... More

Living locally, I can without hesitation say that this is probably the best eatery in the area. I have visited on several occasions & have never faulted anything. The food is excellent as is the service & in fact everything. Highly recommended!!! 😀

I visited recently as a special treat as was hungry and my wife was working. I opted for a roast lamb dinner. The meat was well cooked and the vegetable selection was piping hot. The cauliflower cheese was great and the red cabbage was fresh and colourful. The roast potatoes were a bit of a let down though. They were... More

There's a lot to live up to when you show 5 stars on your advertising and indeed your pub sign. Was it really 5 star ? No. However, it was really good and we had such a good time meeting up with our friends. On all counts, every single member of staff are great. The food and drink is great.... More

I travel a lot for work and usually stay in 'chain' hotels. Partly because I'm a lone female traveller and partly because - bland as they are - you know what you're getting. By the by. I had a meeting in Chippenham and my Expedia search didn't bring anything suitable back in the centre of town - I was in... More

I loved this place. It's such a welcome stop in the pretty Wiltshire countryside and although there aren't any great views or sights within walking distance, I really enjoyed myself. The rooms are newly refurbished and modern, each with a different theme and all the conveniences you expect. Breakfast was good. It was very comfortable. The pub is good to... More

We were lucky enough to stay last night with friends. What a surprise! I cannot rate this B&B and pub highly enough. Everything was perfect. The rooms are first class. Lovely monsoon shower. The coffee machine was a hit. I want one now. We has an excellent evening meal. Service was top class. Loved it.

Single night stay last weekend, 2 couples and stayed in rooms 3 & 5. We were going in and out of Bath so be warned, it's close enough but costly if drinking (£30 - 35 each way). On arrival I was greeted by the owner, a lovely man, couldn't make you feel more welcome if he tried. Walking into the... More

Stayed here with my wife for one night in early December 2013 when on a short trip to the Cotswolds. The Old House offers six individually-furnished rooms in a detached building adjacent to the pub/restaurant. On arrival we were shown to our room, the king double (named Ruinart), by the owner who also offered assistance with our luggage and gave... More
