I didn't stay here but ate here quite a few times in the week. Out of the 3 cages right on the beach this is the best location and best food! Beautiful calamari with tomato salad under £4! The staff in the whole village are so laid back. No rush to get you to give up your table

If you're planning a trip to the area this is the place to stay. The location is the ideal base to explore from, jumping off the balcony will put you in great waves, don't be mistaken, this place is in the sea it's that close! The staff are 1st class, good food, great vibe, epic waves, just a good place... More

Ragz, Kat, Katie, Matt and everyone really do an amazing job and it is awesome when people post nice things about their stay (not just for me as the owner, but for them... More

Second time staying here since last stay about 4 or 5 years ago. The place has grown a bit - there is now a great cafe on the rocks looking out onto the sea. Breakfast is here each day and you can also get coffee, food etc here throughout the day. Nice spot. They also now own a surfshop in... More

Hi Clinton, Thanks for taking the time to give Surf Berbere a review here. It's a real pleasure seeing people coming back especially when they came out years ago and can see the gradual transition in the company. The cafe is a great addition right on the rocks and really smooths out the whole process of meals and getting people... More

We stayed for just two nights but loved it here, so relaxed! Amazing terrace and atmosphere as other travellers shared their experiences. Room was clean and an evening meal cooked for everyone. Will be coming back here for sure!

Firstly I was staying in the dorm with Noel who wrote the below review. This guy was maybe the worst person I have ever met travelling. His attitude sucked. The type of American who makes a bad rep for all other Americans. He arrived, didnt like that the waves werent epic then got blindly drunk and mouthed off each day.... More

Hi Lexy, Thank you so much for your kind and hopefully fair review. We are not offering five star accommodation, but you can't get any closer to the water. The last couple of reviews have brought up the point that we had lots of beginners staying, this is more down to the time of year you guys have all come... More

I have returned to this surf camp over the years . Why , its quite simply the best surf camp in the area. With over 13 surf spots within a very short drive from camp, great food served on the roof terrace every night and great views of Hash point. The staff couldn't be any friendlier . I have read... We visited Surf Berbere in April for a week and despite the weather being rather cold and choppy (don't think they could do much about that) we had one of the most wonderful weeks ever! We stayed in 'Big Blue' it was a perfect two roomed apartment with your own kitchen and a balcony that is literally ON the ocean.... More

Spent a week here with my uni -surf berbere was a really awesome place to stay. It's right by the sea and the rooftop terrace is a great place to chill and also where you get your dinner-which there was always a lot of and variety so didn't get bored. One night we had fish skewers which tasted like chicken.... More

Went here with York University as a guest with them for a weeks surf trip in March, i was expecting a half decent hotel but it seemed to be very average to say the least. I wouldn't recommend this place to family or a couple unless you like a rough nights sleep & cold food. Feels like you're miles from... More

Not really sure what to say here, but that we don't believe this is a genuine posting. Sadly some competitor have set out to try and bad name us with a view to getting university groups to book with them instead. We had a large group from York University stay this year and we have written confirmation from the whole... More

Me and Jay loved our 5 days at Surf Berbere. Everyone was really friendly and helpful. Food on the roof terrace was lovely - and catered for Jay's vegetarianism really well. The trip to paradise valley is definitely worth it, and we had surf lesson all the other days. We both learnt loads, had loads of fun and we are... More
