Stayed here as had event nearby. Had room facing the main road, was a little noisy due to large farm vehicles moving hay etc around, but not that bad that it stopped us sleeping soundly. Rooms are in separate block from main hotel which we found preferable. Good evening menu, can eat in restaurant or bar area. Good quality food.... More

The inter-war ambience in rooms and public areas is the main attraction of this hotel, as is its position right on the airfield. Other pluses are the free WiFi, easy parking, and good size rooms which are clean with comfortable beds and generous tea/coffee trays. Being in an isolated location, I was not impressed by the limited food service times... More

We flew in to Sywell airfield on Friday 18 August. There is nothing better for a weary pilot and pax than a hotel within walking distance of the apron/runway. This hotel was a gem. Its art deco theme is a really lovely touch and reception was friendly and efficient. Our good sized room was adjacent to the car park and... More

Arriving at Sywell Aviator Hotel is like stepping back in time. A WWII airfield still serving general aviation air traffic. Land your aircraft and walk a short distance to the hotel. The hotel is 1930's 1940's Art Deco type. The rooms are very sufficient, located on two stories. Downside is there is no lift. So if you are limited in... More

We stayed at the Aviator for one night over the weekend. It reminded me of a Premier Inn/Travel Lodge format, in so far as the hotel sleeping accommodation is in a completely separate building from the bar/restaurant. Clearly, when the venue was last modernised, a lot of thought went into the 1930s Art Deco Aviation theming, evident throughout the venue.... More

All I want to say is no security at night which means it's pretty much a free for all the night we stayed there think the hotel had held a swingers convention as there was a lot of noise of people going in and out of rooms doors slamming, my young daughter getting woke up by a woman moaning so... We recently hosted a weekend fly-in event for over 70 pilots and spouses. The hotel were great in accommodating us, and although they were unable to meed our specific requirements regarding the Saturday night banquet, the efforts made in other areas more than made up for this. Breakfast arrangements were slick, and thoughtful touches added by the duty staff on... More
