We stayed at the Aviator for one night over the weekend. It reminded me of a Premier Inn/Travel Lodge format, in so far as the hotel sleeping accommodation is in a completely separate building from the bar/restaurant. Clearly, when the venue was last modernised, a lot of thought went into the 1930s Art Deco Aviation theming, evident throughout the venue.... More

Stayed 2 nights at The Aviator Hotel , Although a light sleeper I slept well with disturbance. Our room was spotlessly clean & comfortable. Housekeeping staff very polite & helpful. We ate both Friday ( a very good fish & chip supper ) & at a function on the Saturday night , Saturday's meal was was very good & served... More

All I want to say is no security at night which means it's pretty much a free for all the night we stayed there think the hotel had held a swingers convention as there was a lot of noise of people going in and out of rooms doors slamming, my young daughter getting woke up by a woman moaning so... We recently hosted a weekend fly-in event for over 70 pilots and spouses. The hotel were great in accommodating us, and although they were unable to meed our specific requirements regarding the Saturday night banquet, the efforts made in other areas more than made up for this. Breakfast arrangements were slick, and thoughtful touches added by the duty staff on... More

We recently had our wedding breakfast in the restaurant at the Aviator. Everything from the food (which was delicious) the service, the atmosphere was just wonderful. We got the impression that everyone wanted to make this a special day for us...and they did. We realised on the way to the Aviator from the ceremony that we had not ordered bucks... More

I was staying here as the restaurant was also my friend's wedding venue. The rooms offer everything you need for an overnight stay. The bathroom is of a good size and very clean and there were plenty of towels provided. There is a nod to art deco in the furnishings and the bed was very comfortable. It was nice to see... More

We stayed there as part of a festival that were going on in the grounds. It all started before we even booked the room, the telephone conversation on the phone to the staff was very rude and she missed out the details that we would be charged extra for insurance that we were unaware of. Once we arrived there was... More

The rooms are fine with a few art deco touches.Room was clean and the shower was powerful. We ate in the restuarant in the evening and the food was lovely. Breakfast was not as good as it was swimming in oil. ( i think they had thrown the mushrooms in the deep fat fryer as they were very oily) Service... More

If you are an art-deco fan then this would be a delight for you, if not then you should still enjoy a stay here. The rooms are fine, clean and large enough (but see the pulsing water comment in another review - in my case it pulsed cold). The restaurant is o.k. for this class of hotel but will not... More
