Only book this hotel if you are after a room that is over priced and you are the height of a hobbit! Small rooms, dirty with a musky, dusty smell to it, found hair is the shower - clearly wasn't cleaned properly neither was under the bed as I found old deodorant cans. Bed was rock solid and also had... More

I had stayed here before, a long time ago and forgotten about it until I set out to find it. I'm good at visual clues to destinations I have visited infrequently. This time I had to go outside and up some iron stairs to my room. Which was a bit strange because the hotel was almost empty. At breakfast the... More

A group of 17 of us went here for lunch. We didn't know beforehand what was on the menu so were slightly disappointed that there were only 3 choices including a vegetarian meal for the main course and 3 desserts. Tea or coffee were included. The staff were very attentive and we received proper 'silver service' treatment. The food was... More

We attended a family wedding and stayed over night as we live a distance from the venue. I thought it was rather expensive for a double room £115 but as it had been chosen for the wedding reception I thought it would be worth it. I was wrong. The venue itself looks lovely, very picturesque and the photos for the... More

My son and now daughter in-law booked this Hotel for there wedding venue. I last visited the Grange Hotel in 2002 and was family Owned, Time has now moved on and the Grange looks the same as it did then, very charming building. First the not so good points. The decor is dull and really needs attention. The staff where... More

Had a lovely stay, nice quiet hotel, friendly staff. Couldn't fault it! Stayed in log cabin, the photos on the website don't do the cabins justice! Did not eat here but the food looked nice. Nice quiet location

As you drive up to the hotel you notice that one of the houses on the private road has a small holding with free range geese and chickens that look delightful. The hotel is set in beautiful grounds and you feel very pleased to be staying in such a beautiful place. I stayed in one of the lodges in their... More

We spent one night here - was very good value with breakfast in the morning. Good location and lovely garden to the rear. The food in the restaurant was fine - my pie tasted "fresh frozen" but was nice enough. Our room was dated and the bed was very uncomfortable - springs has gone a long time ago. However, service... After booking a His and Hers spa experience directly with the Grange hotel for my partner as a birthday present. I then had a quick look on trip advisor and felt a little nervous reading previous trip advisor reviews. However today after the spa experience which included a 30 minute back massage for us both and an amazing lunch; two... More

Visited the Grange for a treatment and lunch with my girlfriend today for Valentine's Day. First impressions were: Beautiful, old hotel but a little untidy outside, not a huge issue although it could be stunning with a little attention to detail. Upon entering we were shown to the lounge where we were offered drinks before our treatment. Lovely quiet Hotel,... More
