We arrived for a Christmas Party night and got pretty much what we expected (after checking reviews by others): Average food, poor service in a tired hotel run mainly by agency staff that were only there for the Christmas business. Priced at £38.50 pp for meal & disco it is priced in the mid to upper range for a Christmas... More

Hotel was nice but not amazing requested frame cos of my sleep needs was given a small divan in the tiniest room, carpet wasn't even carpet was cork boards with a rug over the top. Only plus on the room was a decent size tv Receptionist was nice at first until we said we didn't want to put £20 deposit... More

We stayed in a mini suite with our babies. The longe area was very small with a very old sofa bed, chair, table for kettle, desk and tv on a stand. It was nice to have this extra space but the sofa bed was really low and not comfortable to sit on. The bedroom was a good size, nice plain... More

Needed some where to stay at quite short notice and thought the setting lovely--till we arrived.Where was the signage to guide you to the front door.As we entered 2 people looked up from reception desk located under staircase----not a word spoken to us!!! How rude! Their first big mistake. We smiled and introduced ourselves politely. On signing in we were handed keys... More

We have just had our small intimate wedding and reception at The Grange Hotel on the 1st November 2014. It was better than we could have hoped for. From start to finish everything was perfect, The wedding ceremony was held in the lovely cosy coffee room looking out onto a beautiful garden,Vipal the owner was there throughout making sure everything... I would have liked to have rated this hotel higher, but there were a couple of problems and honesty needs to be reflected in this review. This is a lovely old style hotel, not over modernised in a great setting. I found the staff helpful and polite and the room quite acceptable. A few problems are to be expected with... More

Me and my partner stayed in the family room with our 2 children. On arrival staff seemed very rude and not very approachable. Room was very disappointing considering the price we paid for it. Shower trickled out which made it almost impossible to wash in! A lot of noise could be heard from our room including people being intimate with... More

I stayed at this "hotel" this week and it was very poor from start to finish. With only 11 customers in both the bar and restaurant the 2 male staff couldn't keep up ! My meal did not come with its side order, veg was cold. the side order arrived after I had eaten the meat ! Not once was... More

Stayed here last night -what can I say -my back is still recovering! Beautiful location and impressive from outside -but inside really tired and dated. That in itself is not necessarily a problem -until you get into the rooms. We had the unfortunate experience of room 6 ! I have myself dumped better mattresses than the one we were expected... More

Upon arrival at The Grange for a friends wedding we thought the hotel was pretty nice. A good venue to hold a wedding reception. The young girls who seem to do most of the work from serving drinks to bringing in food for male staff to place infront of you, work tirelessly hard thoughout. Food was nice but not outstanding....
