After booking a His and Hers spa experience directly with the Grange hotel for my partner as a birthday present. I then had a quick look on trip advisor and felt a little nervous reading previous trip advisor reviews. However today after the spa experience which included a 30 minute back massage for us both and an amazing lunch; two... More

Visited the Grange for a treatment and lunch with my girlfriend today for Valentine's Day. First impressions were: Beautiful, old hotel but a little untidy outside, not a huge issue although it could be stunning with a little attention to detail. Upon entering we were shown to the lounge where we were offered drinks before our treatment. Lovely quiet Hotel,... More

I don't normally write reviews but felt compelled to write this to address some of the negative feedback already posted. My first experience of the hotel was positive. I emailed the hotel the day before we stayed to check we would be able to check in around 7pm as we wouldn't be arriving at normal check in time. The reply... More

We stayed at this hotel for our wedding night 35 years ago so we thought it would be good to return for our anniversary. The hotel is old but quaint, did not mind the crooked floors, chopped paint and slightly rusty pip work, it all added character to the building. However ! That is where the good review ends. Dinner... More

We went to a party here on Saturday evening. Two function rooms were booked, one having a 'cash only' bar and the other having a buffet. A disco was also provided in the bar area. The bar was small but the staff worked well to serve quickly. Usual high hotel prices as expected. Decor isn't brilliant - all looks a... More

I stayed a single night here in December when I booked a junior sweet with booking.com. A little later I received an email from the hotel apologizing for the inconvenience but there had been a mix up and they did not have the room I booked available. Then I received another email saying to disregard the previous email, and then... More

The function room was booked for a Christmas party with our band and included a 3 course meal, disco and casino. We found that casino tables were so small that everyone was crowded around and the last people arrived couldn't participate. It did not help at all trying to socialise with people around, and later after the meal, the casino... More

We arrived for a Christmas Party night and got pretty much what we expected (after checking reviews by others): Average food, poor service in a tired hotel run mainly by agency staff that were only there for the Christmas business. Priced at £38.50 pp for meal & disco it is priced in the mid to upper range for a Christmas... More

We stayed in a mini suite with our babies. The longe area was very small with a very old sofa bed, chair, table for kettle, desk and tv on a stand. It was nice to have this extra space but the sofa bed was really low and not comfortable to sit on. The bedroom was a good size, nice plain... More
