My son I spent 4 x nights during mid Oct this year. Gordon, Sharon their family all made our stay enjoyable. Loads of great food with plenty of Northern England banter / humour. Service and helpfulness was tremendous. Sunday lunch is highly recommended, with lashings of Sharon's tasty gravy.

I was working in the area and this accommodation was booked on my behalf for me and my work colleague and I'll have no hesitation staying their again. The owners knew who we were as soon as we walked through the door and were very pleasant and friendly, the room (No4) was excellent, very spacious, exceptionally clean, very modern and... More

Stayed here for 4 nights in October 2014. We stayed in Room 1 which was very spacious. We loved the rustic decor which was very cosy, stylish and homely. I found the owners Sharon, Gordon and their family and staff to be really very friendly and accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. We ate in the restaurant on each... More

We arrived for a 2 night stay and the welcome from everyone connected with the hotel was fantastic. This is a family run business and from the very start nothing was to much trouble for our hosts and the staff. The room was extremely comfortable and the quality of the food in the bar restaurant was fantastic. The hotel is... More

An old-style inn with rooms this appears to be a family affair. Staff are friendly and helpful. Feels quite amateurish - corridors still blocked by mops and buckets at 4pm, staff tend to occupy the best seats in the sitting area, etc. Breakfast ordered full English and although there was no-one else there it took 30 minutes to arrive. Rooms... More

Room 6, which is advertised and sold as a double, is far too small to be a double room, especially given the positioning of the bed/TV, which meant that every time I needed to get out of bed to reach the bathroom, I either bruised my leg on the very hard bed corner, or banged my shoulder against the TV.... This was a last minute booking for a few days visiting Kent and we were not disappointed. The Castle is a hotel and a trendy pub/restaurant. We ate there in the evening and the food was delicious. The staff were chatty and friendly, but a little slow with the service, but I think that was mainly because there were not... More

This is not your standard review. I have not visited The Castle Hotel, but, speak as you find, I received extremely good service which is well worth a mention: For some weeks I have been trying to contact a particular business in Eynsford, Kent, in south east England. Today i telephoned The Castke Hotel, Eynsford which is in the High... More

We stayed here last night, the place looks great inside and has excellent friendly helpful staff. The rooms were lovely and the decor is great. The food, both evening meal and breakfast were fab, plenty to choose from. Will be returning, if not just to work our way through the wonderful menu!!!!

Stayed here last night as my 'regular' hotel in this area was fully booked. I loved the decor very cosy, stylish and homely. I found the owners and staff (all family!) to be really very friendly and accommodating. I arrived late (about 9pm) and was still offered the full menu to choose from. I ate mussels in a delicious sauce,... More
