Did a recent hunting trip into the Yukon Territory. Outfitter recommended the Edgewater hotel as a place to overnight. Very good, clean, functional accommodations right downtown. Friendly staff, stored excess luggage until my return trip. Good place to stay!!!!

My boyfriend and I had a room on the main floor with a double bed and sitting area. The room was slightly dated but very clean and comfortable. The bed was super comfortable with high quality sheets and duvet. The staff members were very friendly and helpful. Right across from the water front and a great funky cafe, called Baked... More

We were very happy with this hotel as our choice for our last night in the Yukon after 4 weeks traveling in a motor home around the north. We chose it for its wonderful location near everything worth seeing in downtown Whitehorse. You can walk to the MacBride Museum, the trolley station that runs along the river is literally right... We were told this place was under new management and that things hadn't been straightened out yet. Maybe some of our complaints will be erased by improvements. Hardwood floor in our room with not even a rug. 7 parking spaces for 32 guest rooms. No CNN or Fox News channels, although I believe Fox News is not so popular in... More

The best thing about this hotel was "Baked" across the street. Also the tourist trolley and river side trails were on the other side of the street. The walls were very thin and we could hear the tv and conversations. The outlets were not working but the room was clean with room darkening blinds and the beds were comfortable .... More

The convenient location downtown Whitehorse by the river can't be beat but nothing special for the price. The hotel is getting a bit worn. Walls are thin, could hear talking and doors banging in the night.

Great hotel downtown Whitehorse, YT. Parking was easy and free and the hotel staff was extremely friendly and easy to deal with. They don't have a business center but no worries they let me print off my boarding passes right from the hotel lobby clerks computer. WIFI was of excellent quality and hotel was walking distance to Baked (a great... More

Stayed here on March 27, 2014. Couldn't find a room at my usual places due to the hockey tournament that weekend. Think I got the last room and it was decent, building is dated, but so are all the other hotels in Whitehorse. Didn't have a problem with the room, but did with the front desk. Checking in was fine,... More

Reservations staff were great, no problem booking 10 rooms over the phone. Upon arrival, I found signs of renos being done. There was a saw horse in between the double doors to the foyer, but not a workman in sight. They removed a wall in the foyer and a second door that used to lead directly into their board room... The rooms certainly weren't 5 star but the staff were. They went out of their way to help with suggesting local treasures, helping us get a rental car, heck they even covered the cost of our taxi from the airport when their shuttle bus wasn't able to pick us up. Northern hospitality is abundant and warm at the Edgewater. Oh,... More
