Stayed a few nights at this downtown hotel in January. A very average but older building. The room was ok with a clean bathroom but an old beer can sitting on the floor by the chair in the corner would suggest a somewhat less effective room cleaning. The restaurant was good for breakfast with good service and food. Seemed to... More

Hello VacationManDave, I am happy you enjoyed your stay in Whitehorse and people here were welcoming to you. You are right, Edgewater Hotel is a heritage building, probably the initial ones that were built in Whitehorse and stories from people who have stayed here in the 'old days' are very interesting to hear. I am however deeply saddened to hear... More

on a recent trip to the Yukon/BC/Alaska, we spent the first and last nights of our trip at the Edgewater Hotel in Whitehorse. I had spoken with local tourism, researched online, then spoke with the front desk manager Wray who was very helpful with my booking arrangements and inquiries. Our first night room was as requested with the view, 2... More

Nice hotel, comfortable rooms, friendly and helpful staff. The connected restaurant have reasonable breakfasts and a full bar. Some rooms can be a little noisy if facing Main Street. Just a block from the Yukon River and train station, and within walking distance to the entire downtown area. Fast WiFi, good TV.

Recent room refurbishing and the addition of Tonimoes Cafe has brought me back to this place. Very central, easy walking around town. Nearby restaurants, shopping, museums. Great riverside walking trails literally across the street.

It is not the Ritz, but compared to our other hotel experience in Whitehorse, it felt like it. The people were friendly and from the condition of the hotel and the rooms, you could just tell that someone cares. I recommend it and the location is perfect.

We booked a room for our in-laws to stay at while they were in town. They reserved the whole roof for us to have a nice private family dinner! The view was amazing and the food was fantastic! We loved our meal and the in laws loved their room and the service!

We stayed two nights at the Edgewater and it was better than okay due to its great location. It was very easy to walk along the waterfront, or take the trolley, or enjoy downtown Whitehorse. I was excited to visit the Edgewater restaurant after being closed for refurbishment for many months..Yuck, what a disappointment. I had the Caesar salad with grilled chicken, the chicken was negligible in quantity, tasted fine but not worth the cost of the extra $6.00..The salad was a disaster, the romaine lettuce was yellow and well past its due date.
