The hotel is clean but very very noisy. You can literally hear the person in the next room walk to the bathroom. The floors are very very creaky, both next door and above you. Also, every time anyone opened their room door anywhere near my room I woke up. It is simply not soundproofed in any way shape or form.... more

I definitely loved staying at the Edgewater Hotel! The hotel is in a very convenient place, right downtown close to all the things that we wanted to see while we were there. Second stop driving from Anchorage across country. We were TOLD that this was the premiere botique hotel in Whitehorse.....REALLY?!?!?!?! That's a shame. Even on low season (end of September) we paid $149 for a standard room, what a rip! We were on the first floor and our room overlooked the street and the entrance to restaurant/bar which was annoying since... more

We had booked a kitchenette. It overlooked the alley, right over the kitchen vent, with the kitchen below us. You couldn't open the window without your room filling with the smell of frying food. They did move us to another room, the only one available, but it was very small. If you stay here make sure you book a room... more

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a few days at the end of July/start of August and found the Edgewater to be a nice hotel. It is an older hotel which means that you don't always have consistent water temperature in the shower and there aren't any elevators so you have to carry your bags up the stairs. The... more
