We loved this place. Christiane made us feel so welcome and her superb cuisine was a real treat to look forward to at breakfast and in the evenings. Christiane and Jean Marc have made the lodge a perfect place to use as a base to explore the area, and we were very interested to meet their team of huskies next... More

We spent 3 nights at Takhini River Lodge and really enjoyed it. Can't think of anything else that could make the stay better. The included breakfast was delicious, to say nothing of the dinner that Christiane cooked for us one evening. We hope to visit again in the winter season sometime as it's a beautiful lodge in a beautiful location... More

Takhini River Lodge is situated about 4 miles down a gravel road, takes about half an hour if driven slowly like me. What can I say, it's a beautiful place in an incredible location, if you are looking for peace and quiet with genuine hospitality then look no further. I was met by Christiane at the door who showed me... More

Watching the northern lights has been on my bucket list for some time now. I have chosen the Takhini River Lodge because of the excellent location in a "dark sky" area. Stayed for one week and my holidays at the lodge were one of the best I ever had. The owners are very friendly and helpful people, food was superb... More

Dear Peter, You had perfect crystal clear skies every nights. I am sure the members of your astronomy club will be amazed by your beautiful Northern lights pictures and the hundreds ans hundreds of pictures you took of all the constellations which are different of those in the South sky. Thanks for the wonderful review. Best regards Jean-Marc & Christiane More

We visited last year, but alas, no Northern Lights for us, so we came back this year, and saw them. Nothing had changed since last year, except that I had improved my French. Christiane was gracious enough to kindly correct my elementary French grammar. Christiane et Jean-Marc sont des hôtes charmants, et rein n'est de trop. We took advantage of... More

Dear Kathryn and Grahame, Thank you very much for reviewing Takhini River Lodge for the second time in such beautiful way. I am sure that next time you will come your French will be excellent. Dogsledding is an amazing adventure and can be very addictive. When I did my first trip seven years ago, I had no idea that shortly... More

Our main goal was to see the Northern Lights, which we saw every night of our stay. We found the place to be very quiet, comfortable and very relaxing. The owner's of the lodge did everything we asked and that made our stay very pleasant. We snowshoed, hiked and went on dog sled. If we ever went to Whitehorse area,... More

Our stay at Takhini River Lodge started by seeing the Northern Lights our first night, and from there progressed to a hike across the frozen Takhini River, to snowshoeing, to dog mushing (we love their dogs!), and finally the Yukon Wildlife Preserve - it was all fabulous! And that doesn't even begin to include Christiane and John-Marc's gracious hospitality and... More

Thank you very much for the review Deborah and Logan, You are right Northern lights can put a fantastic show on, but there is so many other fun and interesting things to do around the Lodge to fill beautiful memories. Warm regards Jean-Marc & Christiane More

We could not have chosen a better location. We really did see the Northern Lights! Which, by themselves were amazing. But, Christiane and Jeane-Marc, were such gracious hosts. They put in such long days and yet had the time and patience to help someone as awkward as me put on snow shoes. Christiane is a wonderful and imaginative cook. You... More

Dear Judy and Rick, When we moved from France seven years ago that was the first thing that puzzles us...so many stars in the sky! We never realized before how looking at the sky at night without light pollution could have been be so thrilling. Thank a lot for the wonderful review. Jean-Marc & Christiane More

We went up with a goal of seeing the Northern Lights, and would happily go back for all the other activities! We signed up for the five-day package. Our hosts Christiane and Jean-Marc attended to our every need, from setting up trips for snowmobiling, dog sledding and a nature preserve tour, to setting our camera up for the Lights. We... More

We came all the way from Australia to get a glimpse of the northern lights, but what we didn't expect was how lovely and kind Christiane and Jean-Marc were.
