My friend and I spent two nights here at the beginning of our amazing Yukon adventure. As soon as we pulled up to the main lodge, I was in love! It is a bit of a drive from Whitehorse, and off of the Alaska highway - we thought for sure we were lost a few times, but we made it... More

Frank and his family and staff went out of their way to share their wonderful mushing lifestyle, fabulous sled dogs, and great local food with us -- and we visited in mid-summer! It was highlight of our honeymoon and we are already hoping to return within the next year or two for a true winter dogsled mushing experience.

Muktuk was about 5-10mins drive from the main highway as the property is very large. We stayed one night at the Riley cabin. The cabin didn't have electricity or running water and you have to use the outhouse but it's what we expected when booking. The outhouse had no door but with nobody around, you are just communing with nature... More

Our family took a trip up north to Whitehorse Yukon to view the northern lights (aurora borealis). During the day, my sister, brother, and I also booked dogsledding at Muktuk (through Northern Lights Resort & Spa). Upon our arrival, we were immediately greeted by our tour guide, Alan (from Manitoba) and started to gear up for the ride. Our family... More

Have been there 9 times in winter (march) within the past 12 years, great place. Simple, but cosy cabins and over 120 friendly sleddogs who want to be petted...! Good, tasty northern food. Don't miss a sleddog-tour on the Takhini or Yukon River, or even better, stay there for a week or two. Then do a camping trip in the... More

We literally just walked in the door from a half-day tour running the dogs along the Takhini River for a half day. I have to say it was EPIC! My wife, daughter (3.5yrs) and I were treated top notch the entire afternoon and every concession was made to make sure we where comfortable and warm in the minus 20 degree... More

We stayed 3 nights and spent 2 full days at Muktuk and had the time of our lives. All of the staff were friendly and helpful, the accommodation (we stayed in the lodge) was homely and comfortable. The chef cooked delicious meals for us whilst we stayed there and the staff picked us up and dropped us off from the... More

Why stay in a hotle when just up the road from Whtiehorse you can live the adventure. Nothing better than staying with sled dogs in a comfortable surroundings. Great, friendly staff and spacious rooms in the main building. Large windows allow you to see the Yukon sunset/sunrise. The dogs on site were fantastic - Hazel was my favourite and she... More

This was my second trip to Muktuk. Frank is the most genuine man in the Yukon. What a gem of a musher. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit even though we did not get to run the dogs to the Yukon River due to rain and mud. Frank narrated a Yukon Quest video for us which I found extremely enlightening with... More

Absolutely loved our experience. We stayed in the small bedroom in the main lodge. It was lovely, comfortable and very clean. The staff are incredible, diverse and so welcoming - probably the best part. We woke up to the smell of pancakes and bacon coming from the kitchen on our first morning - how can you beat that? The dogs... More
