We stayed with Pam and Bernie as we were preparing for the Yukon River Quest. The B&B was perfect as it was warm and comfortable with a full kitchen so we could prepare our food. Bernie and Pam were so accommodating and friendly. Tales of Sam McGee's Cremation by Robert Service and other stories littered around the house add to... More

Big thanks for a great place to stay, very close to everything and super friendly. The place is great as we had full use of the kitchen for cooking all of our meals. Also a really great back yard if you just need to relax

I was in Whitehorse recently with an out-of-state guest on a road trip through Southeast Alaska and the Yukon. We stayed in the Rose Room. The house was very cozy, with clean and modern bathrooms and kitchen, but still retaining its turn of the century charm. Bernie and Pam and the dogs were all very friendly and helpful, and the... In the perfect location, downtown Whitehorse, this house is comfy with lots of privacy and comfort. Not only do you have a room, but you have a livingroom and kitchen in the house originally build for the real Sam McGee of Klondike Gold Rush fame. This certainly beats a standard hotel room. The owner is personable, helpful and kind.

We stayed here before (preparing) and after (cleaning up) from a canoe trip. It was a great place to stay. Bernie and Pam were very welcoming and made us feel at home. It is very central and the house and garden itself are a joy to be in. Pam makes the garden feel like an oasis where you can rest... More

Bernie, Pam and dogs Eddie and Sophie were the perfect hosts at the Historic Guest House. Great location close to town centre. Eddie (golden retriever) gave me a guided tour of the local area, took me the short walk to the grocery store for supplies and even stayed up to watch the midnight sun with me! I stayed in the... Stayed 5-9 Jun 13 in one of the upstairs room. Very cool guest house tied to the historical/legendary Sam McGee. The hosts Bernie and Pam did a great job. Charming, comfortable, clean and full of friendly people and canines. Close walking distance to amenities, bars, restaurants, shopping areas, museums, educational/cultural centre.. Whitehorse is not a cheap town. The kitchen and... More

My daughter from Alaska and myself ferried and drove from Juneau, and stayed in this Historical Guest House, built by the legendary Sam McGee in 1907. We didn't realize Bernie and Pam stayed in an adjacent house, but we finally found them. Bernie came right over and gave us a tour, and even started the wood stove for us! We... More

This was our first stop in the Yukon in early September. We took this B&B as our first choice was fully booked. It is an old house that has been raised to add a basement suite and we stayed in this suite. It was extremely spacious with an open floor plan including a kitchen. Breakfast was self-serve with cereals, bread,... More

We swung into Whitehorse with no clue of where to stay. We tend to be budget travelers (ie. CHEAP) and Whitehorse doesn't cater to our type! We checked three hotels and even the two hostels but they were either full or way over-priced in our opinion. We passed the Historical Guest House and stopped to inquire. Yes! They had a... More
