It is not every day that one gets out of the car to be greeted by a magnificent looking wild turkey but then nothing is quite normal at Gramma Bep's. Gramma is a one woman tornado which produces a bewildering array of bread, jams, cakes, cookies and tarts using local wild berries so it is little wonder that the turkey... More

I stayed at Gramma Bep's while returning home from taking our son to university in B.C. It's a huge old house on the service road off the Trans-Canada, extremely handy. The room was super-comfortable, and Gramma Bep a terrific host. It was a short 15-minute walk to dinner near the mall, and extremely quiet at night, despite the nearby highway.... More

My husband and I have stayed at many B&B's in Western Canada and have never experienced a place like this. It was filthy and cluttered and the breakfasts were sub-standard for a B&B. We were a group of ladies travelling together for a three day function in Swift Current and we couldn't have chosen a better place to stay! "Gramma Bep" as she is known to guests, offers a comfortable home away from home. She is well known in Swift Current for her fine cooking and hospitality and we were certainly the beneficiaries... Avoid this place. They treat you like a second class citizen and charge you for the "privilege". It was one of the most expensive B&B we stayed at as we traveled through Alberta and Saskatchewan, and the least satisfactory. If you like dusty rooms and stale food and no soap in the shower, this one might be for you but... More
