Had a great one night stay at this property. I love old railroad hotels provided the rooms are modern, soundproof and clean. This hotel is exactly that. They have kept some of the gorgeous old touches that remind you it is a "grand dame", while ensuring that it has all the modern comforts one would want. The staff are just... More

Two Canadian railways competed 100 years ago to have quality hotels. I have stayed in heritage railway hotels in Vancouver, Victoria, Montreal, , Lake Louise, Ottawa and Winnipeg and all have been special. The Bessborough was built a few years later than some, but it is the best. The design of the rooms, the facilities and the grounds (right on... More

We stayed at the hotel over August Long weekend for a family event and was quite surprised at the lack of cleanliness of the rooms. We have stayed at the Bessborough many times in the past and have never had anything but positive comments. Unfortunately this last stay at the hotel has made us decide to try other properties in... Dear JJF5533, Thank you for taking the time to post your review. I hope you will accept my apologies that not all aspects of your stay were as they should have been. I would like to clarify a couple of points. One of the two guest elevators went down on Fri evening. Our Elevator company was contacted immediately and while... More

We spent the August long weekend in Saskatoon and stayed at the Bessborough. It's old and beautiful but the rooms are nicer than a lot of modern hotels. We had a king bed that was really comfortable. The room was clean and well-appointed. The only problem with the room is that the bathroom door fits really tightly and you can't... More

On our road trip from Ontario to BC, we tried to stay at various heritage hotels to get a taste of the old times. Delta Bessborough was definitely one of our favorites. The inside of the hotel is renovated beautifully, the room and the pool is clean, the GYM is large and the piano in the lobby is perfect for... More

So beautiful Castle hotel with nice park and river! very kind staffs, unique mood, most convenient location in Saskatoon. If you like antique fasion, you can find it here. However, one who has sensitive nose may feel a little unlike odor in the room.

Dear Alex K, Thank you for your review. I'm pleased that you liked our "Castle on the River" and our staff. Perhaps you could provide me more information on your comment about odour so that we can see that it is addressed. Sincerely, Andrew Turnbull General Manager More

We had a sister weekend in a river view room noted as a newly renovated room. The room had 2 queen beds and modestly furnished. The room was not room by all means. We squeezed around the beds however the bath was adequate. They had nice amenities in bath and than very limited for tea, coffee. The one night did... More

Dear hazzel-free, Thank you for choosing the Delta Bessborough for your sister weekend. Rooms are generally smaller in heritage properties however most find that the character and high ceilings compensate. Parking charges are consistent with hotels in the area and valet parking is always an option if you would prefer to have a staff member park for you. Again thank... More

They recently updated the rooms in this old beauty. The rooms are very comfortable and it's nice to have new carpet in the halls. It has a beautiful exterior in a fabulous location. The rooms are nice, although I have never been able to get a king size bed here. This is a non smoking hotel. Some one had smoked cigars... More

Last week we stayed at the Bessborough. There were two of us, we had 2 queens with a city view on the 4th floor, room 429 to be exact. The room was a perfect proximity for a beautiful city view, it was very large and very well kept. Not quite sure why, but there was not a bellman on duty... More

We visit our friends in Saskatoon a few times a year - and of course - want to stay in a hotel that is modern, updated with a clean and comfy bed. The choices in Saskatoon are limited, being a small city - so you really are left with two 4 star hotels. The Delta Bessborough and the James Hotel.... More
