I have stayed in many inexpensive hotels, and I wanted to treat myself and family. Upon entering our room at 4:30pm. we found it had not been cleaned from the night before. Called the desk (keeping count ...1) were told someone would be right up, waited 1/2 hour called the desk (2), someone will be right up, told them we... more

Another stay at the Bessborough that was relaxing. This time we stayed in a Signature suite, bedroom closes off from living room. The bathroom was refurbished and nice. It is obvious that they are making their way through the place and doing renovations as they are able. All the staff are friendly, smile and tell us to have a good... more

Stayed here last weekend to attend a conference at the University. Even though I booked a month ago and asked for a NON-SMOKING room with a Queen size bed I received a smelly smoking room in a part of the hotel that by the look of things was under renovations. I was told there was no other room available when... more

Our room was typical for many old railway hotels.... smallish room and cramped bathroom. Accommodations adequate for a single person but tight for a couple. The ballrooms and public meeting areas appear good, the lobby isn't at all grand. Parking is next to the hotel, and it is all outdoors. Convenient in good weather, but it would be a terror... more

This was my second trip to Saskatoon and my first stay at the Bess. I admired this hotel on my last trip, particularly since my last stay was at the unimpressive Radisson. The Bessborough is an old CP hotel- great architecture with art deco influences. My room had a very nice river view, and the best (and pillows) were very... more

If in downtown Saskatoon, you can't miss the Delta Bessorough with its "castle-like" structure, similar to better known CP/Fairmont offering (Like a miniature version of the Empress in Victoria or the Chateau Frontenac in Quebec City). During my last visit, the hotel was upgrading the lobby and the common areas on the main floor with a lighter, brighter color scheme... more

I lived in Saskatoon for 5 years while going to University, and always admired the Bess. I returned the year I convocated to do some Christmas shopping, and decided to splurge and finally stay overnight. I was surprised to find that I qualified for a discount, (CAA?, workplace? I don't remember) and ended up spending a little over $100.00. I... more

Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Fantastic location - right downtown. Comfortable bed. However, the "fabric" was badly worn - stained carpet, chipped paint, worn furniture in room. A bit disappointing for the price. Historic hotel, but needs some refreshing. more

We have stayed here several times this summer. It is a pet friendly location. I also like the Bess as they have security on site 24/7. The service in the dining rooms is excellent. The Samari is a bit pricey but there is no other amenity like this one in Saskatoon. The bar is part of the lobby here so... more

Charming old hotel (1930’s) with good staff but in need of upgrading and more staff. We had a standard room on the Signature floor (key access + perks) that was very well appointed but rather small. Signature rooms give you access to free continental breakfast and one internet station in a private reading room. The grounds are very well kept... more
