Our room was typical for many old railway hotels.... smallish room and cramped bathroom. Accommodations adequate for a single person but tight for a couple. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Fantastic location - right downtown. Comfortable bed. However, the "fabric" was badly worn - stained carpet, chipped paint, worn furniture in room. A bit disappointing for the price. Historic hotel, but needs some refreshing. more

We have stayed here several times this summer. It is a pet friendly location. I also like the Bess as they have security on site 24/7. The service in the dining rooms is excellent.
