We decided to try this place after noticing their neon sign. I love old motels, and this place was pretty well preserved. It's a little 'L' building from the late '50s, and the owner was a nice guy who chatted with me about the history of the building. Unfortunately, the only room he could give us had lost its vintage bathroom to a plumbing failure, but the rest was pure vintage, even down to an awesome vinyl chair, and some Danish modern end tables. We paid $78 CDN with tax, which is higher than I generally pay in the US, but seemed pretty par for our whole trip.
We got a double room, which had the beds divided by a wall (wood paneling, of course). The ceiling was knotty pine, which was really cool. The room had an a/c unit, small TV, couch, and coffee maker. The motel is about 10 minutes out of downtown, so you won't be walking to dinner. You are close to the highway, but this is empty country with very light traffic, and our room was basically silent at night.
