We stayed here one night in September whilst touring around Quebec. The hotel has a good central location in the town, close to restaurants and within easy walking distance of the 'old' town and the river's edge. There is plenty of free parking at the hotel; a large underground car park and a surface car park next to the main... More

You just know you have chosen a wrong hotel just stepping in the Gouverneur Hotel reception. They staff had this "I dont care about you" and wasn't very welcoming. Our bedroom was in the "under construction" so in our way we had to deal with very smelly and not looking corridors. We had to change the bedroom because the fiorst... More

This property is right downtown next to the museum. It offers free parking behind the hotel. We were quite impressed by this hotel and would return. We got a very well appointed large bedroom with an excellent coffee maker, a large bathroom with good beauty products. A bathrobe is also provided. The bed is good. There is a work desk,... More

When writing a review, I usually begin with the things I liked. For this hotel, it is a real challenge... Indoor underground parking is nice but if you have a big car or a SUV, forget it. Unless you want a fresh coat of yellow paint or get rid of your side mirrors. Staff is friendly. The restaurant was ok... More

When we first step out of the elevator, the strong smell from the carpet make us hard to forget. You will need to hold your breath until you got to your room. The bath tub is even more challenging, You will need to finish your bath within a couple of minutes, Otherwise, the water will be backed up all the... More

This hotel was a night stay for my tour group on route to Quebec City for city tour. The bathtub was choked and water raised to mid-shin level when i shower. The tap was reverse between hot and cold. My wife almost got scalded by the hot water due to it. The carpet is old. There isn't any free bottled... More

Just returned from a 3 night stay. When we arrived there was no hotel parking available. We were told to park on the street. The hotel itself was a little dated . They are in the process of renovating it. Our room was on the 2nd floor. The halls were a little on the dirty side as well as corners... More

Its 5 minutes from Forges street, 10 min to the river. The river area is very pretty and seems to have boat tours in the summer. Many restaurants and cafes near by. Its also walking distance (6 min) to the Salle Antonio J-Thompson, a nice old theatre. There is a spagetti family restaurant right next to the hotel. The hotel... More

I stayed for a business trip at this hotel during a snow storm... The room are big but a bit dated. I had a diner in the room when I arrive. It was nice dishes and it take 30mn to get it. Next morning I had breakfast at the hotel. It was ok but almost no waiter in the room.... More

I really appreciated the room and restaurants, the food was delicious in this hotel, they even made sure that my vegan diet was fulfilled from the soup to the desert. The conference accommodations were more than adequate. Just perfect. Merci.
